I dont trust anyone learning/knowing german who isnt german or planning to live in germany. Theres no reason for it otherwise

>love for Italy sort of went away as I learned more about it as a nation
>really only found one italian movie that I liked (caro diario) and one show (generazione 56k)
>>so its modern culture doesnt resonate with me
>not particularly christian, so the catholic aspect of learning italian isnt there
>20th century italian authors are all post modernists freaks that are insufferable to read as a non native
>pre 20th century italians use too much dialect or use weird conjugations
>only region of country that still fascinates me hardly speaks the language I learned (sicily)
>ive met like 5 italians in real life and been too much of a pussy to talk to them

Literal million of people in central Europ and the Balkans learn German as their 2nd foreign languages in schools. It's not our choice. We're forced to do so, and that's why I have a working knowledge of German although I wouldn't consider myself anywhere near fluent.

learning German is retarded
I learned German in school instead of Spanish
when I came to Germany they all spoke to me in English
when I came to Spain they called me gabacho

Germans?
They call us 'Polacke', so not very creative from their side

This is how it felt to learn Japanese. I passed N2 but I never talk about it IRL. I don't even put in on my CV. It's useless and only makes you look like a weeb.
