No, you need to be in the 1% income bracket to have domestic helpers here so your average professional worker like an engineer can't afford a maid here. Labor costs are high and labor protections are strong. If you are a power couple with two salaries you might get yourself a Latin American aupair but they are not supposed to do. any cleaning.
how do they prevent sex crimes? i know singapores laws are strict but it seems difficult to prevent them entirely
