Are Chinese cars popular in your country? In my country, yes. I keep seeing Jaecoo J7 everywhere.

Yeah, I have Jaecoo j6 and Omoda s5
>>
>>221345484
Not popular but when ever I visit SEA they seem to be everywhere. All the local drivers I spoke to only said good things about them so it's tempting to me. BYD opened up recently but Koreans like to support Korean brands.

Do people still use Mercedes, BMW and Volkswagen in Germany?
>>
>>221345539
Hyundai and Kia don't make cool cars anymore.
>>
>>221345539
chinese ev is more affordable than hyundai and kia here, i'm afraid.
>>
>>221345564
I'm not german, but german car industry is dead
>>
>>221345564
Yes, like 70% of the cars you see around are German and the rest are Japanese/Korean/French/... Chinese cars are extremely rare here, you can go weeks without ever seeing one in my large city.

I live in the north above the arctic circle so electric vehicles aren't common at all. Most people drive old shitboxes.
>>
>>221345823
Not all Chinese cars are EVs
>>
>>221345846
Never seen a Chinese car at all here. But pretty sure the majority of them in Sweden are EVs.
>>
>>221345484
I see Polestars fairly often and sometimes BYD ev semi trucks but that's really it. For EVs its almost totally US/Korean cars with an occasional German EV. Recently
>>
>>221345918
I thought Trump banned Chinese cars in America.
>>
>>221345484
yes very very popular
>>
>>221345484
Bro lives in full bright
>>
>>221345869
isn't volvo chinese tho?
>>
i do and they are incredibly tacky and ugly even by ev standards. The chinese have zero taste. However due to mega corrupt eu beurocrats taking chinese and techbor bribes we now have to suffer with ev slop
>>
>>221346268
?
>>
>>221345484
The Morris Garages or MG marque was bought by some chinkoid conglomerate and apparently Jeetlandians are crazy for them
>>
>>221345959
There are high tariffs on imported Chinese cars. BYD builds trucks and buses here and sell them here. The Polestar 2 is imported from China with heavy tariffs but Volvo eats much of the cost. The Polestar 3 is made in the US. We actually got the Chinese factory for the Polestar killed as the US market was more profitable than the Chinese market, unit per unit and the projected sales didn't justify two production sites. I'm considering one as a daily driver over an X3. I'd really prefer we got an EREV version optimally.
>>
>>221346545
>However due to mega corrupt eu beurocrats taking chinese and techbor bribes
I thought shiteurope was generally corruption free
>>
>>221345484
I've only seen one BYD in my entire life.
>>
>>221346661
I thought the Hindustan Motors owned the rights to Morris in India?
>>
>>221346754
maybe in the 60s and 70s
The current generation of politicians are insular WEF types who act like a quasi nobility
>>
>>221346780
SAIC (I think?) bought Morris Garages marque and then did some joint venture with JSW (large corrupt politically connected conglomerate) and took over and old plant in Gujarat from General Motors after they folded their India operations years ago, there are 0 american mutt car brands in India today (I'm sad about it)
>>
>>221346846
>The current generation of politicians are insular WEF types who act like a quasi nobility
Well they're competent ubermensch so it's not really corruption if they do it, it's just spoils
>>
>>221345484
Very, yes. Loads of Chinese EVs and Chinese market EVs from legacy brands

Grim. I think American trucks and Cadillac would have found a strong niche market in India. Richfag Indians and Punjabis here like them a lot.
>>
>>221345484
id never buy Chinese cars but i want them to get popular to completely kill euro/us cars and make japs more competent
>>
>>221346999
I have a ford myself, while its body was made here at Anand ford plant (?), the engine was made in USA, I think in Texas
>>
>>221345484
>>221345513
Arent these cars electric? Why the fuck do they need such big ass ugly grills?
>>
>>221346882
they arent competant at all lmao
if they had just done nothing and neeted on taxpayer dime it would be better
>>
>>221345484
Yes an absolute shitton of Chery's and byds(fun fact we literally got scammed by them they were supposed to build a factory here that was supposed to be operational late this year in exchange got tax benefits causing them to flood the market but there's still no factory)
>>
>>221347129
You don't become an EUcract without advanced education (High IQ) and a huge amount of talent, so yeah they're competent in all the worldly metrics, if you know better than them then why aren't you in charge?
>>
>>221345484
I am starting to see them in the streets, still not popular enough yet

>The chinese have zero taste.
BYD cross has decent design. Perhaps influenced by Porsche design

>However due to mega corrupt eu beurocrats taking chinese and techbor bribes we now have to suffer with ev slop

Since the EU single bet on globalization has failed, the partially deindustrialized Europe has no chance but to bribe either China or the US.

It's interesting how Chinese cars have names like Yangwang, Xingyuan, etc. but the same cars get slight facelift and sell under names like Dolphin or Atlas in foreign markets.
>>
>>221346536
bodied him
>>
>>221351077
I kinda want a Yangwang just for the ironic meme value. Pair it with a nice set of LINGLONG tires and it's a certified meme mobile.
>>
>>221351077
>>221351763
Yangwang and Dolphin are not the same cars. They're not even anywhere near the same class or product line.
