>>221345959There are high tariffs on imported Chinese cars. BYD builds trucks and buses here and sell them here. The Polestar 2 is imported from China with heavy tariffs but Volvo eats much of the cost. The Polestar 3 is made in the US. We actually got the Chinese factory for the Polestar killed as the US market was more profitable than the Chinese market, unit per unit and the projected sales didn't justify two production sites. I'm considering one as a daily driver over an X3. I'd really prefer we got an EREV version optimally.
