What other language families are like this?I learned that many slavic languages have "partner languages" where its basically the same thing, but then they can only understand 20% of what the rest of their slavic world is saying.Frisian is supposed to be close to English, and yes when I read it it makes sense but as far as speaking goes it just *sounds* english and I can't really follow.Romanticals seem to have a balance of knowing what someone is getting at, but still having different languages
