- apartment expenses 1-2% of monthly salary
- free medical care
- guaranteed job and salary
- stable life
- people were naive and trusted each others.
- free education including high school and universities

- cheap food, electricity, gas ...
- ...

cons:
- can't make money above limits
- can't go abroad easily
- have to sync with communist party,
- no freedom of expression
- ...
