Do you agree with this assessment?
>>
yes
after they lose iran. they will attack latin america again out of impotence
>>
pretty much
At this point literal chicom propaganda seems more trustworthy and like the reasonable position than whatever it is American institutions churn out.
>>
yes. It's not specifically about Iran or Afghanistan or any one conflict. But reality is finally catching up to America. They're not able to print infinite money anymore, they're not able to wag a finger and have the entire world cower in fear. Also they made a strategic mistake by flaunting their military and economic domination over Europe and China, making them do everything possible to decouple.
>>

No. Actual decline looks way different.

Probably the easiest target. They have blackouts in their country, I doubt they would be able to resist a actual invasion.

I don't think voters would see it as a massive victory tho
>>
>>221429365
compared to a few years ago their economies were almost the same size and since then the US grew more and is larger now so no, they are not declining in power
>>
>>221429365
The fact that they needed a 35-year CIA veteran to realize that speaks volumes, the US is bleeding signs of a deteriorating empire you just need to be attentive
>>
>>221429365
All those people who warned dying empires are dangerous while the administration was making random threats to allies last year have been vindicated.

because of intensified american piracy
>>
>>221429365
yeah it is very obvious that the us feels like the system they created post ww2 is restricting their hegemon. you really dont need to be a "veteran" to see this. trump spent months complaining about things that the US has created post ww2. americans are basically throwing stones in a glass house, they keep complaining about the very system they created

The British and French created the post-WW2 system. The US nodded along mostly out of disinterest, but the entire Cold War (which involved keeping former European colonies out of trouble) proved that the European model is ultimately a failure.
Like the whole Middle East is a clusterfuck because the British and French don't want to take responsibility for it. They just want the US to fight and stabilize the region, then whine when they do so.

They are irrelevant now. They still had respect and influence in 1945, and they used the US as their muscle throughout the Cold War to deal with various problems with decolonization. The US had little interest in the rest of the world, but followed along because not doing so meant losing the world to the Soviets.
Europe fucks up, the US is forced to clean up.

I'd expect the US to strong arm the Cuban government purely through diplomacy. The country is a shithole, and the average person seems miserable, especially after the US cut the Venezuela lifeline they had.
I imagine something along the lines of what happened to Japan in the 40s. New constitution, full Cuban autonomy, a handful of socialist tier policies to appease the marxist hardliners, and joining NAFTA. Current Cuban leadership gets to walk away into a cushy retirement, elections are called after a few years of reorganization.

Really, what year was this?
You will have no answer other than some schizo "during WW2", when in reality the British were the ones who did the vast majority of bombing. Especially of France, when the British bombed French ships and civilians on a regular basis.

>“[Morgenthau is] stripping us of our liquid assets to the greatest extent possible before the Lend Lease Bill comes into operation... [He is] treat[ing] us worse than we have ever ourselves thought it proper to treat the humblest and least responsible Balkan country.”

britbons spent several decades paying back the land lease meanwhile their hegemon has completely collapsed in the 50s while still having issues with basic food security. meanwhile the soviets got over 400k trucks and various vehicles along with entire factories and blueprints for completely FREE
the USSR is entirely your creation go fuck yourself

the US literally took everyone's gold and started leading anti soviet proposals in the UN, Britain and France were broke, at all times during the Cold War the US had like 2 to 3 times larger economy than the UK+France
the US started taking over some British overseas territories, basically overseeing the dismantling of the British Empire
not only that but when the Brits and French tried to start shit during the Suez Crisis in the 60s, the US said "no" and the yuros folded immediately

the master-vassal relationship you're talking about was the other way around, the US was very much playing the geopolitics game

When the US occupied Japan they passed a number of laws that limited (or forbid, I can't remember) selling land to foreigners, made it so that all foreign companies had to be partially owned by a local, and put a cap on how much land a single person could own
Yeah, Cuba has a microscopic economy and less than 10 million people, if they went full free market with the US they'd be eaten alive. They'd need some restrictions to foreign influence.

The way they are handling Iran is a fumble, but Venezuela was a complete success.
You win by defeating the opponent, not by doing nothing. Taking Venezuela away from China's sphere was a great move to increase the US' control over the global oil supply.
If Trump was more diplomatic and put on the facade of being nice to everybody while doing the same things he would get away with it. The problem he has is not a matter of geopolitical action but rather of presentation.
The world is locked in constant ever-present grey-zone warfare between the two hegemons. You can't expect to win without mobilizing your national capabilities to increase your global influence or improve your position relative to your rival/s. However that power must be wielded in the way that generates the least amount of friction and blowback, which is at what Trump is failing.
Really, the Republican's main geopolitical fault was opposing aid to Ukraine purely due to domestic partisan politics. That already alienated the European allies and the whole Greenland retardism didn't help one bit.
If the US improved relations with Europe and the Asia-Pacific allies, supported Ukraine against Russia, supported Israel against Iran and took away Cuba from China's sphere (like Venezuela), China would be left in the weakest global position it has been in decades, deprived of most allies and critical resources.
