Or if you live in some random town with like 10,000 people in it. If I said something racist at work they'd probably think I was joking, but if I was genuine about it I imagine a few people would argue with me or at least tell a supervisor. The college I go to is pretty lefty, or at least just my social circle is, so they'd probably have a problem with it.
