We do have them. My hometown had a combination of trailer park and houseboats. The people living there were very wary of outsiders. I had to deliver something there once as a teenager and I was followed by a bunch of young people and even adults looked at me with distrust. They still do when I paddle past in my kayak. They weren't gypsies as far as I know.

Many boomers own one or many camping sites, so they can visit when they feel like it. They're usually not used by people who actually live there full time but some people do. I know a guy and his family who moved from an apartment in a muslim part of Paris suburbs to one of those, on a privately own fields with white people living there. It's kinda cheap but at least the kids can roam around and they have small yards.

Some buildings there resemble something out of the Fallout games, there is one big scrap fort in particular that looks like something a bunch of 8 year olds built, quite a big structure with its own cctv cameras and solar panels, it's actually kind of cool desu. As far as I can tell there are no european countries where cars with a drivers seat on the right are forbidden - but depending on the lenght of your stay one would need a permit.
