My cousin was a rather mediocre student who happened to be immensely talented at robotics, somehow the DoD found him and they're now giving him competitive contracts and he was put through to a top STEM uni. i experienced ego death when i failed med school the first time. i tried again the following year and got in but the damage had been done. my bitch left me, my friends moved on, parents suck, gambling, alcohol problem, obesity... i went from a bold, outgoing, assertive leader figure to a scared, stuttering faggot who looks like he has been bullied his whole life.
i feel like the key difference is in the west people are considered to be innatedly valuable so even if you guys dont have good school, job,... you guys can still say fuck it and come up with something on your own, whereas over here youre considered to be innatedly valueless so we have to spent our life chasing what society has deemed to be valuable, if we dont we will be considered bums and cast out. everyone looks down on us, everyone forsake us,... its hard to get up on your feet surrounded by that level of hostility

University was a joke, full of leftoid commies spewing political nonsense in unrelated courses. College was far more based, regular people with actual jobs telling you how to do stuff that works IRL.
