I have been practicing Dutch for a couple of months now. The tools ive used to learn Dutch are youtube videos that tell stories in Dutch, podcasts in Dutch, and the memrise app. Overall I have made some decent progress so far. Im not quite fluent but I am determined to learn a new language. Ask me anything.

>>221569548There isn’t really THAT much more interesting content available natively in German (of course, unless we’re talking about things like Goethe’s poetry or Hegel’s musings, but that’s really the end of the road when it comes to learning the language), compared to the other Germanic languages, and consuming translated content is not the same. And it’s not just about things directly related to language: Paradox's games or even stupid Minecraft beta, even though I played them in English/Polish, left me with positive associations with Sweden.
