Because don Hernan cortes, the conqueror of Mexico was born in Extreamdura, a roman province with their DNA and culture, basically we are the Rome of the new world.

I don't think anybody here "worships" spanish or latin whateverIt's just that euroasians brought better agricultural methods, more advanced metallurgy, etc, that completely changed the reality of americans, so the only way to communicate in the new reality was learning spanish
