Why isn’t Arabian colonialism talked about more? Do Arabized peoples wish to return to their pre Arabic roots?
everyone highlighted in your image wants to be Arab and has no interest in any of their ancient history beyond performative displays for their international PR.The rare exceptions are Berbers who like their language and culture but still want to look like pale arabs
according to arabs and turks colonialism is bad (except when they do it)
>>221575404The Middle East was pretty interesting pre-Arabization
>>221575446>pale arabs So jews?
>>221575478you forgot PortugalI even read texts where portuguese took IQ tests of mestizxs in East Timor and deduced that the rapes were a blessing in disguise, because the IQ average rose from the native 79 average to the Portuguese 91 average.evil, disgusting people
>>221575612I don't bitch about colonialism thoughcolonialism and imperialism are good things
>>221575404The arabs were still the best choice for the indigenous semitic population of the Middle East. Because besides the arabs, there were either greeks (indo-europeans) or persians (indo-europeans). It's not surprising that the Middle East was so easily and quickly conquered by the arabs, the local populations apparently just saw them as a related tribe and were tired of being the arena for wars between the greeks and persians.
>>221575811that logic doesn't apply at all to north africa
>>221575404It's only bad when wypipo do it
>>221575891no some also hate when Indonesians or Brazilians do it too
>>221575992Never heard anyone speak about Indog or BR colonialism, not sure it's even a thing
>>221575404It has been more than 1400 years. They have absorbed into Arabic culture. It's like asking if British people want to go back to pre-Angle/Saxon invasion Briton.
>>221575478>>221575404>>221575891Genetically all these people are native and just identify as arabs and you know that already.
>>221579745Anon nations are not based on genetics that's a schizo idea. They're based on people having a common shared identity and culture and ideology
>>221576068In the indog case it relates to some of the recalcitrant islands who view the indonesian state as a javanese colonial project so they get bombedhttps://youtu.be/65_DgLwjePA
>>221580126truth nvke, so all the nafris should unite based on their shared love of islamism and petty theft
>>221575446theres segments that are against it like phoenicianism in lebanon and kabyleism/berberism in algeria, coptics in egypt
>>221580126>>221580196Then you really can't compare arab expansion with colonialism. European colonialism was cruel in how they killed people to replace them.
>>221575404No one forced anyone to arabize every single historical source shows that the people just accepted arabic alongside islam or else anatolia and persians wouldve been the first to "arabize" before north africaTruth is 90% of the "ethnic groups" and identities in your map have been long lost by the time rashidun and ummayads started their conquests. Even the assyrian identity is a 19th century fabrication and from the 6th century b.c to the 1800s you wont find a single trace of it until some locals christianized >Sanhaja berberYeah bs map
>>221580761I had the same reaction about sanhaja berber part too, this guy is missing alot
>>221575404It's not colonialism, colonialism is where a military occupies your country to steal natural resources and and labour to the benefit of a distant homeland. The riches of north Africa stayed in north Africa, all the Arabs ever did was replace the previous rulers of north Africa with themselves to get paid taxes. Settler colonialism is where you genocide the natives and replace them with your guys on the stolen land.If France came into north Africa to replace the bey with their guys and started modernizing Tunisia to the benefit of all Tunisians and the wealth of our nation stayed within our borders do you think we would've rebelled against France for independence? You don't understand anything, your understanding of world history is shallow and build on preconceived notions. Don't talk about our region if you don't know anything about us.
>>221575404Libya has been pretty much demographically replaced by migrating Bedouin tribes from Arabia and they destroyed any ruling native powers in Libya and fragmented it into a bunch of tribes that live by Arab Bedouin law and Libya today is genetically the most Arab African country. Sudan is a mutt country with high paternal Arab DNA and the Arabs basically demolished all the old political structures and history. I mean Sudan doesn't even larp as Nubia because they got so Arabized in culture and genes, they are mutts who were created by Arab men raping Kushitic woman. Egypt is obviously Arabized in culture and identity and often was the center of Arab power, if they were to denounce being Arab they would lose like 50% of their history where they were powerful, but genetically they are not the most Arab because Egypt already had such a high population before the Muslim invasion and were already mutts so migrating Arabs just got absorbed into the mutt genepool. Mauritania has been incredibly Arabized by a small tribe of Bedouins who subjugated all the Berbers and assimilated them into Arab culture, genetically not very Arab but culturally extremely Arab, probably culturally the most authentic Arab African country after Libya. Tunisia saw a high influx of Arabs in the south but the Bedouin Arabs have mostly integrated into Tunisian culture so Tunisia is kinda Arab and kinda not. Morocco and Algeria are by far the least Arabized Arab speaking African countries.
>>221575404Arab "colonialism" is more similar to what the Romans did to Gaul and Hispania than to what the British did to India. You don't see many French and Spanish people wishing to return to their pre latin roots either.
>>221577515Trvke
>>221582295The wealth of the United States, stayed in the United States but the US still began as a colonial project
>>221580485Overgeneralized meme. The only places replacement happened was in North America and most of the natives died of disease, and most them were wiped out before Anglos ever set foot on Plymouth Rock. Then you have things like the colonization of Africa, the express purpose of which was to end slavery, end cannibalism, end constant tribal warfare, and lift up Africans with technology and Christianity. You can argue that’s not what happened, but that’s not the point I’m making. The express reasons given were high minded and that’s why the public supported the project. When the public learned of abuses, such as in the Congo, they came out in mass to denounce Leopold and Belgium, which only existed because Leopold framed it as a humanitarian project. No colonial projects by anyone else in history have ever had such high minded ideas behind it as that. Whether those ideas were misguided in theory or application is a different conversation.
>>221575404Why do you care ? You live im one-drop-rulistan.
>>221582296You got so much of this wrong. I almost envy the German ability to say total bullshit and genuinely believe it with 100% total confidence and no shame. Keyword being "almost".
