Yeah she works 12 hr shifts, but she likely works a 3 - 4 schedule that averages out to 42 hrs a week, less than a typical 9 -5 when you consider the reduced commute time from fewer shifts. And im assuming shes some kind of equipment tech, which is someone who just sits there and runs the machines while the doctors work, so her pay is likely below 30 an hour, reflecting the low barrier to entry of her work. Which isnt enough to live in any major city here.
