has anyone here on /int/ changed their citizenship? how did it go? why did you do it? did you renounce your old one (if you had the choice not to do it)?
>>221579099Yes. Changed it from Kazakhstani to Greek. Went ok, I guess. >whyEU citizenship>did you renounceYes, dual citizenship is forbidden in Kazakhstan
>>221579156do you speak greek?
You can have both depending on the countries. I think I could get Japanese citizenship not really sure. I could definitely get a long term resident visa, but I don't care about it anymore. I remember feeling like something was missing (and there was something missing) and thinking about living there for a while to look for it, however I ended up finding it here, so there isn't any reason for me to bother any further with it.

>>221579099You just reminded me it's time to renew my Russian passport.>how did it go?You come to a country, you live just like you would live in your cunt, years of your life go by, you apply for naturalisation and pass the exams, you attend a boring ceremony and claim that you somewhat respect the cunt, then you get a piece of magic plastic that says you are one of them.>did you renounce your old oneDual citizenship is not allowed here, but the requirement to renounce my original citizenship is currently suspended.
>>221579099No i only moved my income tax location to uk so that i wont get double charged while i work here.
>>221579099Nah I'm too lazy for that at the moment. I might try for some tax haven place if I get rich enough in the future. Could even renounce my Polish one so they don't randomly drag me into a war.
