>Do you miss high school
I do but not in the way that Boomers do. I lament the fact that my Junior and Senior years were flushed away by COVID given that was when I planned to make all my lifelong friends and get a gf/wife or at least lose my virginity given I had moved to that area for a fresh start my freshman year and it went really well those first two years. I wish I had experienced those two years like everyone else did because I feel like two really developmentally important years of my life are missing and that it really set me back.
>college
I'm going to uni right now but I went to community college from 2021-24 to get my associates degree. I loved that time because it was a very deeply contemplative time where I spent it all at either work or doing schoolwork with the exception of a few months in 2022-2023 when I was suspended given I sunk into depression and fkunked everything. In retrospect this period from me graduating HS in June 2021 to when I left for France in an attempt to join the FFL in July 2024 was the most important formative period of my life so far and I'm grateful for that time even though it's now far spent.
I only want to go back to MN because I really love it there and hate it here.

No it was probably the worst part of my life and I hate having flashbacks of it
>>
>>221593404
I miss youth but I hated school.

I have a recurring dream (usually 1-2 times every month) where I get I call that they accidentally miscalculated my high school credits, and I have to go back to take a class in order to get my diploma back. Every time, I think it's 100% real and I wake up with my day ruined before it even started.
>>
Still friends with a few of the lads from school almost 20 years on so no reason to miss it. University was completely unmemorable. Regret going somewhat.

Why would anyone miss those days? Are American schools and colleges really like daycare for young people? You just party and don't worry about anything?

>be average brazilian
>not rich so your parents cant just pay private college for degrees that aren't memes
>your high school experience will be studying like a motherfucker to be part of the 1% that get a score good enough in the national entrance exam to be approved in public universities
>fail like 99% of people
>hope your score can get you a government-funded scholarship
>most people can't
>hope your score makes you illegible for a decent loan program at least
>most people aren't
>pay expensive college and work part time to afford your education
>graduates
>can't get a job in the field you studied because private colleges suck and you live in a third world country without qualified jobs

I don't think you comprehend just how soul-crushing life is in the U.S.
>>
I miss having hope for the future and almost every day being some sort of new experience
>>
>>221594049
Look on the bright side, some fat old boomers got to cling to life for a few more years
>>
>>221593404
I miss certain aspects. High school was not amazing for me but i like college.
Mostly I just miss being young and not in pain.

>>
>>221593404
I flipped off my high school on the last day of class, so that should give you your answer.
>>
>>221593404
I kinda miss college. It was fun learning things that were actually useful and that I wanted to learn. I wouldn't go back to it now, I was thinking about it, but I have plenty of things to do.
>>
>>221593404
High school no, college yes.
>>
>>221593404
no i hated it so much
>>
>>221593404
If I had rich parents, or at least competent ones that handle everything financially for themselves, I'd probably would have enjoyed it. But I enjoy having income so I don't miss them that much.
>>
I went to an all boys school. I was extremely mad at my parents for sending me there, but looking back it was basically perfect. This massive slice of psychic fat had been cut away and we could simply focus on shit that actually interested us, free of judgment and ceremony.

I'm not even a chud but there's this ineffable tax that comes from working alongside women, especially in the land of Gen Z Boss in a Mini. Everything is so slow, painful, and laden with unnecessary loyalty tests. There are male-exclusive fields like construction, but they attract lowlifes. That's not what I am yearning for.
>>
>>221595046
Good news comrade
>>
Neither. I prefer being a jobless drop out. I hate school and jobs.
