Which conbini chain do you prefer when in Japan?

FAMIRYMARTŌ

i lived closest to a lawson so that's where i usually went, family mart has better chicken tho
>>
>>221595919
Why are they all american?
>>
>>221596078
two nukes
>>
>>221595919
whichever happens to have Spring Valley tallboys
>>
>>221596078
Family Mart is Sierra Leone company

Fun fact: Lawson started out as a regional convenience store chain in northeast Ohio that just happened to get a license in Japan just when konbinis were booming. Lawson stores disappeared in the US decades ago but are still flourishing in Japan and spreading across Asia.

I pick lawson because it was the closest one to my apartment but its all the same shit. Real ones know まいばすけっと or Ministop have better deals.

Go to the one that accepts your point card.
I use an SMBC card on all expenditure to collect V-Point and convert to ANA miles. FamilyMart also accepts V-Point cards. So you can collect double points by combining both cards.

V-Points can indirectly convert to JRE point, and I pay utility bills with credit card. After 1 month, I have collected enough points to get a "free" green car ticket. Useful when going back home from concerts

7eleven has the best locations tho

I like those fluffy egg sandwiches. I could eat them all day.
>>
>>221595919
fuck Lawson they refused to change some coins for me so I could use those luggage storage at train stations
>>
>>221595919
I was just there on vacation, IMO

7/11 > lawson = familymart
>>
>>221596078
its weird that companies start off in the US, branch out into japan and then the US branches die but the japanese branches flourish
>>
>>221599317
Gas station chain competition is notoriously cutthroat in the US, chains come and go all the time here, in Japan they can just form a triopoly and have a polite agreement to not step on each other’s toes
>>
>>221599400
Why do oligopolies bring untold comforts to Japan but completely fuck over the USA?
>>
>>221595949
This one has some validity to it doe. They sell more unique food items at the 7/11s in Japan that you won't find in my cunt for example
>>
>>221599935
You get robbed by urban youths in both cases anyway
>>
>>221600005
I refuse to believe konbini robbings are a common occurence in Japan.
>>

Bushido or however the blade is studied

Do they still have Kenny Rogers Roasters and Shakey's Pizza restaurants in the US?

Our Kenny Rogers always has Kenny Rogers music playing in the background, ususally "The Gambler" or "She Believes in Me"

Good chicken though on the pricey side of fastfood
>>
>>221595949
Japanese convenience stores are actually stocked, cleaned, and offer a good number of services as >>221597938 explains. This is one area where Thing, Japan actually applies.
>>
>>221600993
I've never heard of either of those but they might be regional chains.

I don't remember this being a thing
>Shakey's
Still has a branch in Northern California, north of Sacramento.
Funny enough, I once saw a Shakey's branch in Tokyo
>>
>>221600993
Shakey's are all over Los Angeles and are still opening. I've never heard of Kenny Rogers the restaurant.
