I learned recently the Portuguese have deep ties with their former African colonies. Why is that?
The English and us immediately forgot about them, we have nothing in common with them and want nothing to do with them.
>>
>>221596187
They really don't give a fuck for them. They used to care about the country I live but you know what happened.
>>
What the actual fuck are you talking about. France literally has the closest relationship to its African colonies out of any European country.
>>
>>221596260
les babtous sont racistes
>>
>>221596260
well we try to keep them on a leash, but i'm talking about culture, not politics
>>
>>221596187
>want nothing to do with them.
your mom still cares a lot about them
>>
>>221596187
My dad was born in Angola
He was bullied in school for being one of the few white kids in the village
Ever since, he has hated blacks with a burning passion
>>
>>221596311
Yeah Tangine and Gims are totally purely French.
>>
>>221596513
i had to google the first, and no gims isnt french
>>
>>221596187
Brzil and Portugal patrol those countries waters, send humanitarian aid, and help train local soldiers and technicians. I’ve also heard that people there watch Brazilian TV
>>
>>221596550
How many Angolans move to Brazil and to what states
>>
>>221596607
they move to bahia as it's their land.
>>
>>221596498
is angola just like south africa. like what? it's sad seeing white people born in third world countries

Cape Verde is a pretty nice country
If I'd have to live in Africa that would be my pick
Altho, funnily enough, a lot of Cape Verdeans don't really see themselves as African, they actually consider themselves closer to Europeans than Africans
>>
>>221596695
so blacks are considered europeans now according to a brazilian anon using a portuguese flag? interesting
>>
>>221596187
>Ecuatorial Guinea
?

>>221596740
they are rapebaby mulattoes that were part of portugal for 500 years
>>

holy cope
the french have an obsession with africa, and it's not comparable to the brits who truly don't really think about it (their primary cultural extension is mostly other white anglo countries, yours is africa)
>>
>>221596659
>is angola just like south africa
no, after the revolution in 1974, almost all portuguese left
The few that go there nowadays know the risks
>>
>>221596887
What are the risks? They seem alright overall. It’s mainly the African nationalist types who are aggressive and abrasive
>>
>>221596187
>The English and us immediately forgot about them

kek.

Mr Francophone, we don't believe Brits who are saying:
>Worse still, the relationship between French political leaders and their allies in Africa was often corrupt, creating a powerful and wealthy elite at the expense of African citizens.
https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-66406137

And also coup leader in Niger who claimed that France is interfering to destabilize the country is by no means can be trusted.

How dare they can blame you?

>>Ecuatorial Guinea

It was Portuguese territory for three hundred years. Then, for the last two hundred years before its independence (1968), it was a Spanish province. That is why they speak Spanish. They are the African country with the highest literacy rate.
>>
>>221597036
>What are the risks?
I think its that same for all white people in africa
Getting kidnapped because they think white = rich
Or just getting beaten/raped/killed because youre a white colonizer who deserves it
>>
I've always thought this guy descended from africans but he's apparently from Indian descent.
>>
>>221596187
>I learned recently the Portuguese have deep ties with their former African colonies
Portugal tried keeping it's colonies as sort of a economic welfare scheme due to the high poverty rates and bad economic policies, it was the sickman of western Europe and constantly had citizens migrate out legally an illegally to other countries such as France.
So by using it's African holdings as an regenerating piggy bank it would in theory catch up to other European states and/or empires that were more developed.

>The English and us immediately forgot about them, we have nothing in common with them and want nothing to do with them.
You mean now not exactly. Back in the day ex-powers tried to do power plays to retain their prestige in former holdings.
>>
>>221597210
>I think its that same for all white people in africa
Lol they barely touch white people. It's considerably way way easier to travel as white guy across Africa than it is for an African to do the same. An old ass 80 year old white Saffer woman did a Cape-to-Cairo trip among countless others.
>>
>>221596260
They didn't even really give them up. The Sahel is still run by French companies and they use the Franc.
>>
>>221597296
he's the nigga behind the jeet invasion in portugal i think
>>
>>221597409
>they barely touch white people
In some parts and most often you just dont hear about it.
In Mozambique, the islamic groups target white foreigners in their kidnappings for ransom
>>
>>221597675
>the islamic groups target white foreigners in their kidnappings for ransom
They outright kill locals. Also security groups for these expats always prioritize white or clearly foreign workers over local ones. Ever heard that Dave Chappelle skit on black hostages? A lot of that is kinda on the nose.
>>
I can see Angola having a bright future. Mozambique is just grim. Absolutely rock bottom as far as things can go.

Because they're the same race

why
>>
>>221597993
In theory as long as oil is in demand and some dumbass with too much power ends up making oil prices surge up, oil states (outside ME) will benefit such as with Nigeria. The prime issue is that while Nigeria is obviously corrupt, Angola takes it a step further.
>>
>>221597878
Mozambique was one of the fastest growing countries in the world a decade or so ago. I think they just need investment and good leadership and hopefully less islamists in the north
>>
>>221597791
No countries hate African people more than African countries.
>>
>>221599320
Nah that's lame midwittery and an extremely reductionist take at that too.
>>
>>221597881
Compared to ours, their portuguese is pretty close to european portuguese.
I wonder why we speak such abhorrently dogshit portuguese. It can't just be low IQ, can it?
>>
>google Mozambique
>find out about a third of their population identifies as "zionist" or "evangelical"
Why do lusophone countries seem to get duped by evangelikikes so hard?
>>
>>221599928
You guys had centuries to form your own dialect alongside influence from other languages from Native, African, and non-Portuguese European langauge speakers. Outside of the coast and the really early holdings most Portuguese Africa got a more recent version of the Portuguese langauge. You have to realize that say in Angola the Portuguese only managed full definitive control by the 1920s.

>>221599977
Missionaries flow like water between states and tend to be a part of NGOs, or hijack them like an airplane hostage takeover and use them to push a message.
>>
>>221600065
>to form your own dialect
to ruin*
