Here in Malta also people seem to be largely oblivious to just how influential the Greeks were. Sad really. But Maltese peeps are bumpkins so what do you expect. The Italians that are here seem a lot more educated on history as well as the Magna Grecia topic. Wouldn’t even be any Latin if it wasn’t for Greek.
