Should've transitioned to renewable energy like Germans.

The people in power want to do similar things like France. They want to buy back ("nationalize") all the reactors and people so we have 5 dead reactors 2 working ones and move to SMRs.
We are going to pay endlessly.

In 2022, France's nuclear fleet almost had to shut down due to high river temperatures which interferes with cooling:

Only really good for baseline in countries that don't have a lot of wind & sun or any other renewables and what are we going to do in the winter we will be using more than the sun will give us so batteries aren't going to be completely a solution to that, unless battery becomes just as cheap as paper.

I don't know, but regarding nuclear energy, it's true that before Covid, France was trying to reduce its reliance on nuclear power despite the criticism. Since Covid and the war, French politicians have said "fuck you" and have started investing massively again in the construction of the latest generation of nuclear reactors. France is going back to full nuclear mode.

If the french state and the EU allowed EDF to set their own prices there wouldn't be any funding issues.
Instead they force it to sell under market value so that germans and resellers can make money off of them.

Because of the dumbass EU marginal pricing system, we have to pay for cheap electricity made by nuclear energy locally at the same price as electricity produced with gas. The whole electricity market in the EU is dragged upwards by gas. We should do the exact same thing as the iberians and just fuck off from the EU electric market altogether, it would give a big boost to our economy

You mean like find reactionary articles online by legacy media or people who deeply dislike the tech, nah I will actually wait when the technology is no longer a hype and then see what people think about it then. Now it's just al cope regardless pro or anti.
People where making the same claim about smartphones, I don't really think it had that much of an effect.
I hate this cycle of when a new technology comes out it either brings us to a utopian world or destroys us.

>Australia holds approximately one-third of the world’s known uranium resources and is the fourth-largest producer globally, generating about $1.2 billion in annual export revenue. All production is exported strictly for peaceful energy generation and medical technology under strict international safeguards.
>>
>>221608014
>many of these nations are becoming Russian aligned
That might be starting to reverse. For example, look at recent developments in Mali. The Russian successor to the Wagner group was forced to surrender and retreat from Northern Mali due to the success of the Amazigh rebels, which are rumoured to now be Western-backed. Not looking so hot for the Russia-backed Association of Sahel States (ASS lol). Russia might be able to reassert control if the Ukraine war were to end, but they seem to be too distracted to maintain their overseas neocolonial project at the moment

Sure, but there's nothing that hard locks solar panels to China. A good portion are manufactured outside China, about 20%, in countries including USA and Vietnam. They are made from abundant materials. Contrast that to geographically hard locked uranium. Solar and Wind can be built from universal materials distributed sufficiently in much of the globe which is what makes them so good for independence.
