What's your opinion about French cars?
>>
very cool, thank you France
>>
>>221631186
we love Renault in my country
>>
Shit
>>
>>221631186

They are okay
Gonna get the EV twingo
>>
>>221631186
Pretty nice and stylish, still by far the most popular cars here. Common consensus is if you have a heart you drive French, if you're a drone you drive German

Total French LOVE
Been trying to drive a 206 MT but currently can’t buy a car, also expecting a kid in the next year so when I buy one I have to get a newer one due to need for safety features. Is there a way I can just rent one for a euro trip or something?
>>
>>221631186
they look nice but quality wise they are bad
>>
>>221631757
its more like french cars are half of the price of german ones
>>
>>221631186
Citroen DS is my favourite car of all time.
>>
>>221631186
Renault is probably the most common car brand here.
I see many Renault megane station wagons with 15+ years. So they're probably good cars.
>>
>>221631186
Also, Renault 4L is still very common. That thing was a tank.
Couple of years a go, a group of friends travelled from Lisbon to Cape Town SOuth Africa in their Renault 4L, and they made it through.
>>
>>221631186
bad, but not as bad as shitalian cars
>>
>>221632050
volvo mogs german cars thoughalbeit
>>
>>221631186
you can buy used of a few years, drive them for 20 years and you know there will always be a nafri buying it after it , because french cars are nafris' favourites
>>
>>221631186
anyone who buys french cars in Australia are genuinely retarded
>>
>>221632239
not anymore since they are owned by the chinks. But yes before that swedes were car gods. Too bad their retarded liberal goverment dosent understand how important automotive industry is for a coutnry so they allowed saab and volov to be bought by the incompetant americans
>>
>>221631186
they used to be supercool but now their build quality is equivalent to mitsubishi's and nissan's
>>
>>221631186
not comfortable for sex
german cars have seats that can decline all the way back

2009 Citroen C3 Picasso. 1.4l - 95hp petrol, manual, cheap and comfy.
I love it.
>>
They have terrible reputation.
Curiously for a couple of years Nissan cuckovers were bestsellers even though they were practically French shitboxes.
I was so used to living in VAG country I was oblivious to the fact that isn't actually standard across Europe.
All the interesting French shit like Matra, Alpine and Venturi corked it in the 90s
They refuse to make anything with RWD, it is a miracle the new Alpine made it.
Things might be different in Electrohomo era if Germans don't get their shit together, otherwise it will French and Chink shit out on the streets

why don't they sell this car?
>>
>>221632676
thats ugly af, but i guess it has a market in china
>>
>>221631186
i remember some mechanic saying he hated working on french cars because you needed to disassemble the whole bumper assembly to change a front headlight
tl;dr ask your local shops on the topic of which models of cars are easiest/cheapest to fix and to source parts for

They were the GOAT of cheap cars, but now they have fallen hard, just shitboxes sold as luxury things despite being made 80% of plastic.
>>
>>221631186
underrated, cheap for what you get and often having some groundbreaking invention that never got on just because it was french..
>>
>>221631186
weird goofy designs
>>
>>221631186
I don't like their interior desu
>>
Bad reputation since they used to have lot of electric issues. I wouldn't touch any Stellantis garbage with a ten foot pole, but I don't think Renault is that bad. I wouldn't mind electric Megane or Scenic.
>>
>>221632256
Nafricels love German cars especially BMW in over here.

>>
>>221631186
They were so unreliable that they literally got pushed out of the US market
>>
>>221631186
I don't know
It's the Passat French?
I don't know which cars are French.
>>
>>221638394
>>221641105
Why do you think the European Ford and GM markets are virtually 0 now?
>>
french suspensions are godly
>>
the only car in the history of french cars which was at least a little bit of reliable and okay was the Peugeot206. My first car was a Peugeot 206.

Now of course i drive a Toyota with automatic.

French cars = 99,99% dogshit

Nigger the Peugeot 04, 05 and even 06 series were more reliable than any overpriced Audi or Mercedes. At that time the only two diesel manufacturers were Peugeot and Mercedes (lel). The 504 was known at the workhorse of Africa. Shut the hell up.
>>
>>221631186
They're kinda ok. Spartan interiors, ok mechanical parts.
Just not very impressive in any way.
>>
>>221631186
pure dogshit
>>
Some people with limited imagination are stuck in the 2000s Top Gear memes - but if you actually look at what's on the roads, French cars are enduringly popular.
The modern Peugeot SUVs are, unfortunately, most aligned with the British car-buying population's criteria.
Of course, it should be the 208 and Clio, but they don't take up enough of our limited space, it seems. I do see some Renault 5s and I hope the Twingo is popular, although we never got the original it's based on. It should sell itself on looks alone.
>>
I drove a Megane for like 8 years and I wanted to kms every single day
>>
>>221632676
We design incredible concept cars but never manifacture them for some reason. Love the Metropolis.
>>
>>221631186
Trash. Break down often and parts aren't available here, so they are very commonly sold as paperweights on FB marketplace.
>>
>>221631186
old ones were trash with major electronics issues
1.5 dCi engine is literally bulletproof
dont know about the new stuff tho
>>
>>221642759
when toyota decoded to pull their hiace off the european market they knew they had to replace it with something. so they picked a french van and gave it the name proace.
if toyota stands by this choice while selling it to the most demanding buyers aka tradies then yeah...
>>
extremely unreliable
