covid lockdowns ruined my life forever
>>
are you going to kys in the next round of lockdowns?
>>
It had absolutely no impact on my life because I was already a friendless jobless loser before the pandemic.

I was quarantined alone because I lived in a one bedroom apartment at the time and my parents were covid schizos that fortressed themselves away.

I was fine until like 3 weeks in, and I just started taking hot showers several times a day because I felt lonely.

I was in the army when it all went down, I was in a remote location in the middle of nowhere supposed to get training on some radio equipment, I was stuck there for 4 weeks, I sat up at night eating MRE with a LF radio receiver and huge makeshift antenna just listening to people from all over the world, Spanish, Russian, endless morse code, during the days I jogged along a forest trail, I took all the tables in the building and built a castle, I drew my own insignia on a whiteboard, I had a wonderful time honestly

I didn't mind it.
Played lots of games, the severs on all games was so alive.
>>
Yeah I was about to move out of the house and getting my life on track. And now I'm almost 30 finishing a degree stuck at home.
>>
I enjoyed it but I think something in brain broke and I've never recovered
>>
>>221654544
It gave me a legitimate excuse to not be looking for a job for a few months

>covid lockdowns
I had a great time. Find a good gf/bf and it'll be just fine.
>>
I think covid is very different depending on where you are. Some countries had no lockdowns past a month, and the gayest, like Canada, has 2 years of March 2020.
>>
it totally threw my life off track and i haven't recovered

Covid was the best thing to happen to me at the time. I had just bought my own place 2-3 weeks before it became a thing and I was furloughed for 6-7 months with 93,5% of my original salary. Other than that I didn't really notice covid much, maybe less people outside when I went out to buy groceries.

I lost my job completely for four months and lost 70% of my income for a year after that. The only reason I avoided bankruptcy was a very cheap slum apartment i had been living in at the time to save money. If i had been paying average market rate rent I would have been wiped out in about eight months. Meanwhile people who easily moved in to work from home arrangements at full pay were telling me no we need to extend these lockdowns for the well-being of the country.

I got my first girlfriend thanks to it so i would say that it saved my life.
>>
>>221654544
I gained the most weight I've ever had during that time. I just ordered a bunch of junk food and barely worked out.

I didn't even notice covid except for the hand-washing stations in malls and shit.
Still went to work normally.
Never saw anyone wearing a mask.
No lockdowns.
My usual pub stayed open.
Used the bus on a daily basis.
And when I eventually got covid I barely felt it. Slight fever, shallow cough and a headache for a few days.
>>
>>221659320
Same.
>>
>>221659320
the only places that had a legit lockdown were China and Australia.
Everywhere else it was a circus show, barely enforced, half assed lockdowns.
>>
>>221654580
This. Nothing changed for me. (Except my female family members went a bit crazy.)

For a while, people here had to print their own "passes covid" to declare where they were going and for how long when leaving their house. There was no restriction on how many of them you could print a day, they were literally just one nation-wide humiliation ritual because police officers would seriously control you for them.
