It's really strange to me how Americans online divide everyone into neat little generation clusters. Yes some generations were a different breed such as ppl born pre-WWII in Europe and there was a huge wave of post war birth boom (happened over here too) but it's very silly to define everyone as a part of some "generation" in advance before they even are born, it all seems tacked on

It's for marketers originally.
But also functions to mark people who grew up in different technological/social eras so normies use it.

This is a very millennial-coded OP.
>>
if we define generations with major life-changing events that happen during childhood and adolescence,
then the cutoff for the newest generation would be having remote lessons during the COVID and using chatGPT to cheat at homework

of course it's different in Russia, Ukraine etc

It's not americans fault other than falling for the most obvious divide and conquer scheme ever, it's when non-americans are defensive about it that it becomes extremely weird and corny. It comes accross as them trying to impress and gain americans favor no matter what by shitting on their countrymen over date of birth out of all things

clicking i thought this webm would make me cringe but it doesn't unlike 99% of tiktok dance videos
is the dancing really that much better done or is it the production values that make it more pleasant to look at

non-americans using feet and inches for height is another thing that puzzles me every time

>so normies use it
maybe it's because I don't use other social medias all that much, but I'm quite sure this site is probably up there for places with the most generational discourse. You can't go one thread without someone accusing someone else of being a retarded zoomzoom or an aging soillennial or having it derail into a discussion about why young people are retarded and gay because they didn't grow up with the same saturday morning cartoons as kids in the 90s. A lot of it feels very artifical to me

It's as much of a divide and conquer scheme as star signs not everything here is a psyop you schitzo
