if 0.850 is the threshold, china will probably enter that range in the near future too. but would places like singapore, slovenia, bosnia, kosovo, moldova, latvia, estonia, lithuania, cyprus, lebanon, georgia, armenia, slovakia, and cambodia — countries with small land areas and small populations, making economies of scale difficult — really be able to independently develop and mass-produce every kind of army, navy, and air force weapon on their own, including 4.5–5th generation stealth fighters, frigates, destroyer-class ships or larger vessels, and various types of submarines? north korea, israel, and south korea are truly exceptional cases.

I'm genuinely touched by your generosity, Deniz, but I don't think we really belong in the big boys' club. I mean, sure we're a G8 country, but on the global stage, geopolitically speaking, we carry absolutely zero weight. Countries like Iran, China, India or even just Greece and Turkey to stick closer to home, manage to project their "relevance" like a thousand times more than we do.
