Both were shitholes, but anyone with a brain will choose Prussia for living. It wasn't a backwater and totalitarian hellhole with only two cities and a shitload of impoverishment villages alongside zero paved roads.

You're implying I have an irrational fear of it. I don't, it's merely dislike.

Austrians were and still are the best and most authentic Germans. This is why they were our first rivals for so long, just pure fucking excellence. Honorary latinx.

>Austrians don't even consider themselves Germans
Alsatian level of cope, but at least Alsatians have reasons to think they are different because they are now completely French. Austrians just started pretending they are completely different from Germans in order to deny their fascist past and pretend to have been victims.

At what time? The only thing that was uniquely prussian was their ability to merge the desire for the creation of a united german state (that many Germans had in the early 19th century) with retaining a strong and hegemonial position within this newly created german state. The prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm IV. said during the failed revolution of 1848 that "Prussia is absorbed into Germany" - in reality however Germany was absorbed into Prussia by his succesors.

What even made you being interested in Revolutionary and Napoleonic France?
>>

I can't tell tbqh... it started sometime around 2020 or such, when I discovered libgen and downloaded many English language books.
The ideals of the French Revolution (not the corruption that got caused by power hungry haute bourgeois and those of petite bourgeois that got greedy) really appeal to me, and many reforms of it that were spread and adopted by other nations is admirable to me. The complete and total revolt of the lower classes against the ruling classes then executing them is also appealing to me as a form of justice. The abolishing of serfdom and many medieval and post medieval oppressive (restrictive and unfair is more like it) institutions like guilds and power of the organized religions (as I'm agnostic) was also a great thing.
The more positive things about that era are without any irony, a hope spot for me regarding humanity as whole even though I'm very misanthropic and cynical.
The more negative things about that era like many coups, executions, sudden shift of powers among terrible people, massacres, wars, famines, and such are not only enlightening reads, but also valuable lessons for those who might get embroiled in revolutions.
As for the Napoleonic Era, I think similar things can be applied alongside the even more accelerated advance of science and technology (which already happened in the Revolutionary Era), the dangers of reforms through imperialism and expansion, rise of nationalism, and underestimation of irrational factors (emotions, religious zeal, sensationalism, etc) that are among populations. All of these and then of course there's Napoléon himself, on whom I have read many books and texts yet it's still not enough. He's probably the most interesting figure and fascinating man in history I know of, and can be both very inspirational and very cautionary.
I can go on and on, for days nonstop and it still won't be enough just why those two eras about France continue to fascinate me to no end.

Understandable. The ideals of many revolutions are asparing and inspirational but sadly, all to often, they get hijacked by men of ambition for power, who then create their own states. A sad cycle and nothing new under our sun (the soon to be roman emperor Octavian Augustus launched several persecutions of his rivals and political enemies all in the guise of safeguarding the republic).
Fun fact: during the french occupation of the Rhineland they implemented the Code Napoleon there and this french law system stayed in place until 1900 when it was replaced by the Civil Law Code for the whole of the German Empire.
