There was no such thing then just individual nationstates interests, those "western" countries were each others biggest rivals, ironically the world wars which ended the european empires and made the US the dominant superpower and most of Europe their satellite states created this western hegemon to begin with, chuds will seethe but it is the truth.

"West" was not a unified entity like it is today. Germany unlike UK and france had a very small influence outside of Europe despite being on paper the strongest Nation in that region. they were naturally bitter about that.
