I don't love Israel or Israelis (I feel modern Judaism is a weird new age invention to justify the state of Israel) but I can respect people of a faith community who work together to build a strong society. Basically, I respect what Israel is trying to do, but I disagree with the narrative they are using to do it. How you can claim to be "Jewish" without a direct family linage you can trace back to Abraham or following the laws of Deutoronomy seems weird. It's like Mexican white supremacists. Just tacky. I don't necessarily disagree with the spiritual lessons and love of God that modern Judaism installs, but the "we are chosen just cus" bit is a bit tacky. Atleast eith Islam/Christianity, this status is extended to all with faith, which seems more geunine.
