At this coffee bar in Belgrade I was talking with my serb friend about my trip to toronto.
This, and my accent, caught the attention of an angry looking man a seat over, who asked where I was from. Realizing I was dressed very American (jeans, converse, baseball jersey) I quickly said Canada to see if that would calm him down.
It was the wrong answer and he went into a tirade calling Canadians bastards, whores, scum, degenerates, etc., because apparently he had just been deported from there

Kinda weird lol, have no idea what she was on about. My buddy was kinda spooked by it because he's probably never seen a crazy person before, so he wanted to talk to one of the street cops to get their take on it. They had no interest in understanding what we were saying at all and just kept smiling and waving us away kek. Not a big deal, just kind of funny how they can just totally disregard the issue like that. USA cops are obligated to make a big deal out of everything
