Did you know? ZUN had ideas for Rumia's battle that would feature dark bullets eating the light or darkness appearing and covering the screen. He didn't really know how to properly execute these ideas until he used them with Mystia.

You might argue about the killing method, though, a neck snap would have been more instant and merciful than painfully crushing him into rocks repeatedly, but its not like humans also go for painful killings towards small animals without need.
