>>49965476Nice, good to have it back and in widescreen even if 4:3 had a certain charm.

>>49965476ffffuuuuuaaaarrkkkkkk now I'm gonna have to get another widescreen monitor
The stream's framerate could be better.
>>49969498yeah it's awfully choppy, picture quality and resolution don't really seem any better eitherat least it's in widescreen I guess and is back at all
>>49965476I must have checked it like two days before it came back.
>>49969498>>49969508yeah, seems to be worse framerate than before, maybe youtube's processing is adding something. It looks like doubled 15fps now. Still good that it's back
>>49965476Never thought I'd see that day. How long was it gone for?
>>49965476We are so back. I have to say though, the quality looks as if they just applied a very bad AI upscaler on the old camera. Maybe the webms will look better in a lower resolution anyway?Well, fuck, now that I read the other comments before posting, I might actually not be far from the truth. Are we sure they really changed the actual camera?>>49964527This camera is cool with how close to the action it is. Though it gives me flashbacks to some questionable memories of walking around there.
>>49970647>Are we sure they really changed the actual camera?I don't think so. I think it was more moving away from self hosting. Probably had a server somewhere taking in the streams from the cameras, cropping and streaming on the old site. Decided to move to Youtube to handle the delivery to viewers.
Don't think I've seen this little outbuilding get opened up before.
>>49971338Yeah it happens occasionally. Also good Lord the image smearing, quality is just miserable...
>>49965476A good day

Did Yunokami just go 1080p and also get released public instead of a private link guys? I watch a lot of cams and have done for almost 10 years, but seems some changes. Literally in the middle of doing my taxes when I saw this.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z1MErdsqsw8
>>49965476Fucking fantastic! It's getting heaps of viewers as well and it deserves it, I'm the YT cam of the week guy and it's definitely Yunokami this week
>>49980391>1080pBlotchy 1080p. I'm gonna have to stop by the station sometime and see if the camera looks any different (probably the same camera).
>>49980475If you ask the people working at the station they can probably tell you more info.
>>49980475Sounds good! What do you do in Japan? This is definitely transformative I've been monitoring the viewers today and we have been between 80 and 120 so 8-10 times the usual audience at a conservative estimate, wouldn't mind a few more people joining up here.
Does that odd close-frame stutter seem to have disappeared in the last ~24 hours, or is it just me hallucinating?
>>49988900I feel like it happens less in the evening and at night time, but can't be sure. It's definitely still there though.
>>49989079Yeah almost as soon as I typed that I started noticing it again lmao. It's really mind-boggling, here I thought the camera would come back up in higher quality and/or more reliable and instead everything is a sidegrade at absolute best.
>>49993078>>49989079I've checked it twice by pausing the feed and frame stepping through it. First time it was daylight with activity and every frame was doubled, so effectively 15fps. Second time was earlier today when it was still dark and the only motion was lights from passing cars on the road, and there was 1 repeated frame every 5 frames, so about 25fps. I just checked again, went back to 14:53 on the screen clock, when the train is pulling out, and it's doubling and tripling frames, so somewhere between 10-15fps. Strange. I was hoping for cam upgrades too. Did it really take them all this time to just setup a youtube account and upload there?
>>49993357(me again) I guess they could have an HD feed running and slowing the framerate on busy scenes to keep the overall upload bandwidth constrained?
>>49993357>Did it really take them all this time to just setup a youtube account and upload there?Probably, yes.
>>49993078>>49993357I'd rather have the original version because the framerate was at least smooth, and 4:3 ratio has its own charm. Maybe they'll update it in the future, since this is still only the first week it's been back.

>>50009853The weird shutter thing is still very distracting. I still don't know if I want to bother trying to reconfigure everything to handle the new stream. I probably will, but I really hope they fix it somehow and it's not going to be like this for the next decade or something.
