Wanted to make a thread about this since it's pretty cool even though (sadly) most of it is contained on Twitter.In August 31, artist @cactasis made a tweet rougly saying "If you want to be a godly artist just draw a brown Egyptian loli catgirl", which started a trend of artists drawing characters like that. If you go to his account you'll see he has retweeted a lot of drawings.A week later, artist @Koyansuee made a post saying "If you want to be a godly artist just draw women who look like they have thick pubic hair, unkempt black hair, glasses and dark circles under their eyes", which started another trend parallel to the Egyptian loli one, with some artists even combining the two.The posts that started it all:https://x.com/cactasis/status/1962197990241955979https://x.com/Koyansuee/status/1964663402695196948I know social media stuff is not welcome here but it's a sad fact that a lot of Japanese artists use it and sometimes fun stuff like this happens in there.
