The issue is that companies like Hoyoverse already caught their female audience through sunk cost where these women are just content with getting breadcrumbs from their efforts. Among with other things, it's really fucking sick how it went that direction. I could only imagine current trendy shit like LADS or whatever will also "rugpull" its audience at some point.

Actually, that might have been why Hoyo games started focusing more on waifus. Those kinds of big games can't change to be fully single-gender so you're stuck with being drip fed husbando content but I don't think you have to worry about stuff like LADS. No way the audience would allow it to change, especially after seeing what male players did to that other game. Both male and female gacha audiences in China seem to hate each other and won't allow any pandering to the other anymore.
