Why has the situation never recovered after the Wuhan flu? I always thought that after years of not being able to attend unrestricted live events, everything would get even crazier, but companies/franchises that used to regularly host dome shows are now unable to sell out 15-20,000 seats venues.

There are also some artists who are utaite but not the "hiding their face" kind of utaite like Myuk or Asmi. Otherwise, most of the new names over the last few names have come from the utaite camp
Utaite have been around for ages, ClariS and Nagi Yanagi started as utaite for example. They just weren't dominant then as they are now. That's actually a problem. The more anison gets dominated by utaite and mainstream artists, the less variety and soul we get.

For example, Kouji Wada's Digimon songs (yes, including Butter-Fly) don't seem to be on Spotify at all, but some of the other Digimon Adventure songs not by him are. I think Lantis owns his catalog too, which makes it even weirder since Lantis these days is chill with streaming services. I'm not even sure if him being dead is a factor. It just feels weird that Butter-Fly is so iconic yet it isn't even on streaming services.
