Beat Takeshi tore Ishiba a new asshole and exposed the LDP
>After talking big (about continuing as a Prime Minister and ignoring the backlash), Ishiba-san ended up resigning, didn't he? Even among those chosen within the LDP to be the next Prime Minister, there seem to be bigwigs who control them. They say this and that, but it's like they're puppets. In the end, once you hand over the puppet role, it gets assigned to someone else.

Thank you, and a follow-up question below for anyone in the know. I usually get old movies from nyaa or the internet archive, but neither of those places seem to have the movie you mentioned. I tried searching for it on a torrent aggregator (BTDigg), but the torrents I found were dead. Is there someplace that I can find old movies besides private trackers? The links in the OP seemed mostly dead the last time I checked them. Usenet?

Tamuken isn't a particularly funny geinin. I only have the impression that Suiyoubi no Downtown is the only show in Tokyo that calls him and he's mainly active in Kansai. Even if he returns to Japan, other than Hamada, Downtown as a conbi is finished as far as tv goes so Tamuken probably won't get any work either, especially since he's also linked to Matsumoto's scandal. He might not even be able to find as much work in his home turf of Kansai as before. He can keep living here in the US working in his yakiniku joint.

>they are looking down on ordinary people
Owarai geinins are a special breed and they're something that is unique to Japan. They themselves were ordinary people, like the average Joe, they went through the same shit the ordinary people went through, like being ugly and unpopular, but struck gold with their owarai materials and skills and now they're famous celebs. So naturally, they suffer from severe elitism, more than actors or singers. That's why there's lots of sex addict geinins and many have scandals over sexual harassment and rape as seen recently.

This is going to sound weird but I am going through some Kamen Rider series and noticing a lot of pantyshots that they didn't think about but you can spot when pausing. Mainly in moments where characters are going up stairs, or running with skirts fluttering up, or being sent flying by monsters and stuff. They seem completely innocent, not framed lewdly, but it's still something you can't really see nowadays. I don't know why I'm sharing this, I just thought someone else might have had the same experience.

I haven't really been taking screenshots, and this is a blue board so I probably couldn't post much even if I were. But this one example should hopefully be fine, it's stuff like this. Woman was just knocked away by a monster and sent rolling. I am trying to avoid mentioning the other elephant in the room, but considering these shows often have a wide variety of actors, you may be able to draw some troublesome conclusions from that. I feel weird even pausing to see this stuff, but if my eye catches it, then I usually check to make sure.
Anyway, it feels like in a modern show, they'd take more care to avoid shots like that since people are more conscious of it nowadays.
>>
>>50024289
I'd imagine that it's because, nowadays, on-demand videos are more commonplace, so being able to look through every frame for unintentional shots like that is far easier, so they take more precautions to avoid them. Back in the day, shots like that were easier to miss, so they didn't really bother avoiding them. I'm sure that people being more conscious these days is also part of it, but I don't think it's the only reason. Just my two cents, though.

I rewatch April Story every April. One of those ineffable works from Iwai Shunji that reminds me of my university years. It portrayed the anxieties of moving away for university really well but also the silly things we do during that period, whether it's everyday life or love life. Every moment is so simple yet rich and real. The last 10 minutes are especially wholesome.
>>
The first time I watched April Story I kept waiting for something bad to happen to the main character. I had watched it after All About Lily Chou Chou, so I thought all of Shunji Iwai's work would be dark and edgy.

the issue i have with this is that the hook of this show is lewd between the jav actresses and comedians but it's not great because the actresses can't really act, the sexy things they do is nothing compared to their actual work and the comedians are obviously phoning it in. is it the scenarios or is it the concept itself, not sure.
and as the other anon said, it's like we're catholic schoolgirls as if the business isn't rife with affairs and cheating. i don't hate it but still...

I like watching Gekidan try and keep up while throwing curveballs. The Talk Survivor format was a bit of a mistake, the retard from New York should've been cut entirely because he wasn't even trying, I don't know why he got booked in the first place.

Ultimately, the problem with the show is that it's just a weaker version of the movies. I don't have a moral issue with the concept because "cheating is wrong!", if you're married to a famous guy in Japan, you know what you're getting yourself into.

>I'm gonna miss this cast a lot after the next episode.
Felt the same after finishing the drama. Every single character is loveable, even Mitani Koki who was playing as himself in that cameo was adoring. Just a lovely series with the kind of delicate, thoughtful virtues too little seen these days. Koreeda is a master of creating such feelings in his works.
>Any other good series that Aju Makita and Nana Mori are in?
Going My Home (2012). It was also directed by Koreeda Hirokazu.

I love her aloof little face so much.

I've not finished it yet but like with God Tongue, it's definitely a format that suits Gekidan Hitori more than anyone else. His bits are hysterical.
I want to see more geinin willing to get into the drama. Maybe Akiyama would be good.

they have a very effective system at identifying copyright infringement. I was trying to upload an interview video with a Wehrmacht general and it got striked down at the upload stage because they can somehow automatically identify the content and who holds that copyright

I decided to be an autist, here you go. For Kamen Rider Agito:
Episode 4: 07:39
Episode 9: 09:33 (reflection)
Episode 11: 2:53, 2:56
Episode 13: 24:45
Episode 35: 9:28

The episode 9 one is odd because you can vaguely make out a reflection on the knob during a shower scene, but she may actually be wearing clothes off-camera, but not much, but it's hard to make out much of anything. I thought I'd note it down anyway.

I was being wary about all this because I was worried about getting banned but it's probably fine.

Beat Takeshi's views on modern Japanese people
>I think Japanese people are too timid. Even though the economy is supposed to be good, if wages aren't rising, people from other countries usually go on strike, but they don't do that in this country. Surprisingly, workers often complain about low wages, but they don't take any concrete actions, do they?

Usually they're only visible for like one frame, and it's only a few pixels of white at best. The Ep11 2:56 one you can definitely see. There were others that were more overt that I couldn't find again.
