So here are some fun bug facts.FACT: Wriggle Nightbug refers to a single character, not a species!FACT: Wriggle is not a boy. She is in fact a cute girl!FACT: Wriggle has appeared in only two official Touhou Project games, the second being Touhou Bunkachou ~ Shoot the Bullet!FACT: Wriggle's character was put on hiatus in February of 2011, only having shown up again recently as a cameo in Touhou Genzonmikuji ~ Whispered Oracle of Hakurei Shrine in 2025. This marks an over 14 year period where Wriggle did not appear. Wriggle has also not had a speaking role since 2005's Touhou Bunkachou ~ Bohemian Archive in Japanese Red, all roles after that point being either non-speaking boss roles or cameo appearances in group shots!FACT: I am legally married to Wriggle Nightbug.FACT: The "Wriggle Kick" meme is actually a fun reference to Wriggle's debut game, Touhou Eiyashou ~ Imperishable Night, where she infamously would appear suddenly from the top of the screen during her midboss entrance and could very easily take a life from an unaware player!
