But more often you'll find yourself having to deal with stalking, manipulation, threats, kidnapping, and all manner of troublesome antisocial acts.It just isn't worth it. As much as it pains me to say this, I have to agree. Either they go by completely different rules than us humans, or they're all social misfits.Let me tell you a story. I'm a humble fruit salesman at the human village. Business had been growing steadily over the eyes, all seemed well, until one day... a strange visitor came to my shop. A cutesy little gal with butterfly wings, a makeshift dress & an antenna that kinda reeked. She said she wanted 2 apples, and presented me with some seeds & a shiny rock for payment. I felt pity for her, and assumed she didn't know any better, so I gave in & just gave her the apples. After all, the world could always a little more generosity. That act would be the beginning of my troubles at the village. In what I can only assume was a positive reaction on her part, she nuzzled to me & started peppering my face with little kisses. I didn't have it in me to push her off, but I could see the doubtful eyes of my neighboring shopkeepers and visitors. We're a pretty modest community, so if I suddenly had a kid, it'd probably be known, especially one with a "costume" as farfetched. The matriarch of our village also convocated me 2 days later, claiming these acts of "adultery" set a bad precedent for the safety & decency of the village. In her infinite grace & wisdom, I managed to get away with only a fine, but still, it stings, I can barely afford food for myself now.That wasn't all, however. She kept coming back, surrounded by butterflies most of the time, which didn't really awe my customers. In fact, some were scared off and assumed my fruits had become rotten, not only because of all the butterflies, but because of her antenna's foul smell! I felt really down, but I still didn't have it in my heart to reject this seemingly clueless girl, so I made a deal with her that if she was to visit me at night rather than during the day, i'd offer her some more fruits. Luckily, she accepted, and to be at least positive about that whole ordeal, she does skip some days, particularly in Winter.Whenever she came over, it'd essentially mean i'd get about half as much sleep as I usually would. That little bugger is absolutely restless, and has no concept of personal space. She thinks bouncing on my lap or on the bed right on to me is the funniest thing there is. It doesnt help that several of these landings ended with her butt straight on my face. Thank god she's light, but I don't know if I can commit to my village's vow of chastity over non humans when this is happening so frequently...Lastly, i'd like to note a strange occurence that happened recently. She came over through the window, same as usual, but her behavior & tone had changed entirely. It was almost... godlike? I swear I heard her voice echoing as though I was in a church. She also seemed to behave more gracefully, yet with that same lingering affection. It was a very strange night.Long story short, I wouldn't go so far as to refrain from all acts of generosity, god knows our world needs them, but exercise caution and be assertive from the get go. If you're afraid for your safety, i'm sure the village matriarch can find a way to help. I've had positive echoes regarding the teacher too, so try & knock at her door if need be.
