>>50053809nareko anon here, here's what i'm personally following:- don't assume player intent, leave things up to player as much as possible- don't punish players, especially not out of spite- try and make use of flags and traits to make specific targeted dialogue as targeted as you can, you can get really really creative here with conditions that need to be met- use RAND function to increase replayability with various line variations- don't use pronouns the simple way, there's a code way to fetch these, not everyone plays male characters etc. same with hard-naming characters- you can pull up the name of food, other people in the same area, use pre-configured sound effects and unicode emojis and other quirks like recolored or printed typewriter lines instead of having to keep typing the same thing over and over by just calling a function that does the repeated thing to save on bloaton the more technical side there's some encoding shit you need to watch out for to make sure you don't ruin the encoding on some files that use an archaic piece of shit JP encoding, but somebody else can fill you in on that better

You can also mess around with the inspiration behind her character - the head priest does that to this day, see the backstory behind Yuiman for an example- remember that this is still a porn game at the end of the day, all the dissertations in the world won't matter if reading it becomes a chore; make me as the reader actually want to engage with her- - side note, think of how you play the game - which interactions happen most often, and which are less common, and base the need for variety around them. (I'll admit this is easier than it sounds, especially when you decide to write dozens of greetings at once)
