>>50093250Cute picture, is it an anon's doll? >>50094132You have no fucking idea. We're so welcoming and positive in the /jp/ thread compared to other spaces. There's a reason the /toy/ resin only thread self destructs regularly and other groups collapse constantly.

Can someone post that āelitst bitch dollsā pic, with the captions on it?
I bought quite the expensive bitch for my first doll (seriously fuck this weird addiction I am developing why did I drop 4K like it's nothing) and realized that I appreciated the Etsy lady's backdrop and flowers/furniture she has. Does anyone have any good sources they like? She is 36 CMs tall. I'm thinking grass, clouds, typical fantasy beauty crap.
>>50097055>36 CMsso is that roughly 1/5 scale? imo thatās kind of an odd one if so, but you might be able to get away with using some 1/6 furniture and props. 1/6 is one of the easiest scales to shop for, but it might take you some trial and error and paying close attention to measurements for compatibility. are you planning to build out a diorama with like silk flowers and ttrpg terrain or something?
>>50096580Dolldreaming is pretty nice and helpful from what i've seen and experienced. Don't know anything about doa
>>50092032Thanks anon I was afk when you replied.
>>50097517>are you planning to build out a diorama with like silk flowers and ttrpg terrain or something?Precisely. I purchased from an etsy seller by the username AmadizBeauty. I'm surprised I purchase a non-anime-esque doll, but to be absolutely honest, and I mean fucking honest, the doll looks like someone I literally once knew. What faggot shit huh? Either way, I genuinely do plan to make a wonderfully bright and lively diorama with silk flowers and even a little flowing creek. It will be a lot of work, but I think it will be beautiful when it's done. I think life is so fucking ugly, ugly enough that those who hate it need to surround themselves with beauty which heals the mind and soul.>tl:dr: yes
>>50100858sounds like quite a project! i looked at some of the sellerās etsy listings, and searching for ācathedral windowā or ācathedral mirrorā should find something with a similar structure to what they have in their background, plus some fairy lights. their furniture could be anything from a plant stand to a pet bed with some faux fur draped on it, for all i know >flowing creekif you go to the trouble of incorporating a fountain, may as well have some live plants too?
>>50100858>AmadizBeautyExcellent taste. 1/4 is actually really easy to find props for, too. Look up props for dolls like Fashion Royalty 16 (not the normal one because those are 12" dolls), Tonner dolls like Ellowyne Wilde, Ashton Drake Gene Tyler, and even Volks sells nice props every once in a while. I find a lot of my best stuff from antique and vintage stores.
>>50101307>may as well have some live plants too?My goodness, it's been absolute years since I've agreed with an anon so often. I like you! Yes, absolutely wonderful idea. Some small plants sounds exciting and really brings the whole scene to life.
>>50101425Thank you very much, anon. You have shaken some of my doubt here if I had picked something well. Thank you. I've never purchased from her before, but she does seem quite talented to the untrained eye.
>>50101945i hope it works out well, anon! thinking about it a bit more, one word of caution is that high humidity and direct sunlight are generally not great for dolls, so plants with lower water and light tolerances may be preferable
abbie is enjoying her new outfit...
>>50105289maybe a little too much...!

>>50105325>>50105289very nice
>>50105553>>50105739thanks! it was kind of tricky getting her dressed. i had an easier time getting the hakama tied with her lying down, which inspired a sloppy drunk moment. the apron is also hers, but they said it wouldnāt fit SD17, so naturally i had to test itā¦!
>>50105884Nice doll family!
We went out to a gardens today
>>50092511where can i get a 85cm BJD to replace the body of my TPE doll as i know its going to decay in a few years, but i'm in love with her face and want to keep that and put it on a BJD body
>>50107288A lot of pretty spots at this place, but a little bit busy for my tastes. I don't mind so much taking photos in public, but I just don't like being in the way of everyone
>>50107300I've come to realize that I really like pictures from the back/side. I end up trying to take a lot of pictures framed that way
>>50107304Do you guys have any tips for keeping hair this long neat during transport? Is there something I can wrap the twintails in so that they're less tangled when I pull her out of the bag? Especially if there's a lot of foot traffic where I'm shooting, I don't want to have to spend a couple minutes brushing her hair every time I pull her out for pictures.
>>50107310paper towel rolls maybe? put the hair inside
>>50107310Volks' haircare products help keep it manageable. I'm convinced their hairspray is diluted Aquanet/Rave in a spraybottle, but I still haven't found a dupe for their water wax.
>buy my first dollfu>swear it's going to be my only one>follow a bunch of doll creators>dolk advertises another onethe mossad is the cause of my potential financial downturnon a serious note. thanks to all the pictures you anons post, i've since then started going outside more to find new places to enjoy the scenery and imagine if my dollfu would look good in the shot.
I'm sad I can't just hug my dolls in bed and fall asleep with them. They have such a nice weight to them that it's really a shame that if I do fall asleep, I'll end up regretting it.There was already one time I dozed off while holding a doll for ten minutes and while the doll was fine, I was quite upset that I came so close to damaging the face up and wig.
>>50107297Look into obitsu 100cm>>50107304>>50107310Nice pics! Long hair is a problem and the safest way is to disassemble and put into the wig net for transport.
>>50107494>obitsu 100cmthank you
>>50106038thanks anon! the family actually just got a little bigger this week, but i havenāt had the wherewithal to unbox these two yet (ordered from Volks USA so thankfully no tariffs to pay wew)>>50107288cute!>really like pictures from the back/sidejust curious, why do you think that is? I bought this on a whim. I got a bit of extra money and gave in, since I really love the character. I never thought Iād end up buying a doll like this, especially considering the price.I know absolutely nothing about this hobby. I came across Dollfies years ago while browsing Mandarake in search of Umineko items.I have no idea what Iām getting myself into.
>>50108608>another dumbass captured by cute dollslol
>>50108608Welcome to the hobby anon! She's very cute, I'm sure will be very happy with her. I look forward to seeing her around the thread!>>50108092Very nice! Nothing is more exciting than having a doll package to unbox. >>50107488These two are gorgeous, just so you know.
>>50108608>Man already put himself into debt and doesn't even realize itWelcome to the hobby! She's very cute. Please share pictures when she's ready.
>>50108608You're getting her girlfriend too, right? Wouldn't want her to get lonely.
>>50107326Funnily enough, this is one of the things I was thinking to try, but I didn't have any laying around to try. It was that or getting small squares of something like silk that I could wrap the hair in, since I think a smooth material would keep the hair from getting too teased.>>50107379Picking up some of the sprays will probably be my best bet for now. She just has so much hair, man...>>50107494Hmm, didn't think about transporting the head separately. Thanks>>50107384I lasted for about 2 months with the "I'll only buy one," so good luck to you>>50108092>why do you think that is?I think I just like the mood that they give to an image. It makes any pose feel a bit more wistful or melancholy. Makes me feel a bit like I'm watching her instead of just posing her too
>>50107310Tiny hair clips might be an idea, like the kind you get at the dollar store for several in a pack that are smaller than your pinky.
alisaie is terribly chuuni, and i love it! iām very impressed with the outfit, boots, accessories, and wig styling. they put wiring in the jacket collar so you can shape it around the neck, which is a nice surprise. all that faux leather has me worried for the longterm though, and the white suit is also tight af, like i donāt even want to try to make her sit. i probably need to use some product in the wig and fiddle with the shaping more. alphinaud will have to wait for another dayā¦
>>50112766Cute chuuni
good morning beautiful peoplei want to make her a proper scaled room, are there any good resource sites to look at? i have a few books but they are from the 70s (though they are great reading)
>>50116170idk if itās helpful, but i enjoy this channel:https://m.youtube.com/c/nerdforgethey have projects in a variety of scales
>>50116285thanks i will take a look-see
So 10 years ago I stopped doing warhammer paint commissions and creating terrains and crap. I'll be honest and say I'm only two weeks in and ordered my first doll that costs an arm and a leg, but I've been wondering...for the grass, bushes, terrain in general, is there any specific company that does this sort of stuff for such sized dolls? I don't think in all the years of warhammer did I ever see a hobby shop displaying such things for such sized beings kek.
>>50112766>all that faux leather has me worried for the longtermIt does deteriorate over time. Keep dry and avoid handling excessively. I have old Volks shoes and accessories that are unused and still deteriorates while in packaging. Enjoy it while it lasts. I hate this intentional, planned obsolescence that they incorporate into their products to make you buy newer ones.>>50116671The major companies do make dioramas for events to promote their products. I have no clue what they used for the grass here. Warhammer would use the green sawdust. You might to have wing a lot of this.
>>50116722maybe this stuff? https://www.michaels.com/product/supermoss-preserved-moss-10627578
