Should I be worrying about team compositions as a complete newbie in Twinkle Star Knights or should I just level the 3-stars that the gacha gave me and throw all my cares to the wind?

You don't need to worry about regular levels or affection, for that matter (and you can in fact clear the hardest tower floors with an underleveled team, with the right comp), but you absolutely should be frugal with your skill and sister levels.

Zero in on any characters who reduce CT (and whose skill levels affect %age and/or duration), then push/pull moves, then other utilities like attack up and overheal (but not warp, any of the warpers like Shino/Sylvie/SAmu work at level 1 everything).

3*: Too many to list, but from your pic, Halloween Sofya covers a bunch. Nezemine is also one of the best starters due to her ability of teleporting the backmost ally to the ally moving second. Good for closing gaps until you can establish 1CT loops.

In general,

Venus and her alts are premier pullers for your allies.

OG Mahamut is the premier pusher/knockback'er due to also reducing weight. Sister Mahamut is the same.

Overheal is more specific to certain teams like water or demon-only, but many overheal teams also reduce CT at max overheal, so it's worth looking into those units. Water healers like loli Magdalena or Roxanna (or Lolotte when they rerun her in the next Crusaders collab), or demon healers like Valentine Setsuna or Tryphiana.

Also, for beginners, look into getting barriers like OG Ripple or sister Latier.

Haha funny number. Wonder if I can make an actual proper long term dark team. This one worked but was a little jank since Maple sucks at buffing and aside from Fiona my other buffers suffer from 100% + base atk scaling. Also feel like I needed more ex up or maybe repositioning for turn order, and it would help if I didn't completely ignore the fact that enchanting exists since it's a pain. I had my fun though, so I'm not going to think any more.

Made it to Normal stage 25 and Hard mode 11 before starting to struggle and get walled by enemies in TSK

Game seems fun and I feel like I'm slowly starting the hang of it. What's the priority to get stronger though? Character levels, Skill levels and better equipment?

Needing to reset data on mobile made me double check my settings after updating. I didn't realize that at some point they added a 60fps setting. I am an avid reader and read a lot on the side, I just want something more. With youtube videos you can't control the pace plus in DMMge there's sex and you can basically attempt to throw money to the girls you like. You can't do that when reading books or VNs. And again, satisfying scenarios + any kind of gameplay are more charming than a lot of works out there. Voiced characters scenario also contributes to my enjoyment. I liked August simple linear story with their writer so Iris Mysteria was a treat for me, shame about the gameplay but I can handle it. Shame a lot of gacha treat story as just one part of the picture where investment is pretty much minimal there

mine only crashed because I had the game open for 12+ hours reading story chapters before going to the gacha screen. i don't see crashes outside of long sessions. the gacha screen is prone to extreme slow down even without the game being open for a long time though. it slows down to maybe one frame a second. It's Oshiro's pity system. Not great for rolling a unit, but great if you bank it so you can free pick a unit every half a year. Most major issue is Oshiro does half-off ten rolls that cost 25 instead of 50, so people were only doing those and accruing pity twice as fast as it merely counted rolls total rather than cost. So pity in Aigis will take like twice as long to accrue.
