Having not really read anything in this discussion, here's my take on the whole "how would Marisa react to being rejected thing".
First though, I think it's important to understand something about Marisa's character. She's very conscious of how she presents herself to others, and she values this image of a competent and confident magician that she's cultivated. I don't think she'd give a big theatrical reaction upon being rejected, if anything she'd play up how nonplussed she is, but that's not to say that she wouldn't be hurting. If I had even an ounce of artistic talent and could make a comic like in op that shows genuine heartbreak on Marisa's part, I'd probably lay it out like:

First Panel: A genuine expression of surprise from Marisa, uttering something like "...but...."
Second Panel: Marisa puts on her metaphorical mask, her expression changes to an unconcerned one, accentuated by a sigh and a shrug. "Are you really going to turn down such a cute girl? You might not get another chance like this, you know? ...Well, your loss."
Third Panel: Cut to an exterior shot of Marisa's home, dusk is just setting in.
Fourth Panel: Marisa is sitting at her desk, hands clenched together, staring off into space.
Fifth Panel: Marisa puts her head down and begins silently sobbing to herself.

Maybe you don't see it that way, and neither do I, but judging from the last thread, there certainly are quite a few people for whom the appeal is in the act of rejection itself, the feeling of power it provides and the pain inflicted. Personally, I'm more interested in the emotional repercussions of such an act rather than the act itself, as well as the narrative possibilities it might bring, but for a lot of people, it's about enjoying the suffering of another, which I'd definitely call sadistic.

But the more time spent without you leaving her, the more proof she has that you will stay. Especially as you work yourself into daily life at the mansion, and she is eventually satisfied that just like she's "seen" every part of you with her mind, you've seen every part of her as best a human can. And it hasn't made you run away.

Now, your human mortality might indeed weigh heavily on her mind, yokai not being used to mortal transience. I could easily see her snapping at Orin if she were to make a joke about "taking care of the body". And I could see her screwing up the courage to wander about Old Hell in search of those knowledgeable in... alternate means of preserving human life.

She wouldn't snap or keep your mummified corpse on the wall or anything, Satori wouldn't strip (You) of your dignity like that. She's not likely to tolerate the idea of jiang-shi or spiritual transfer/possession either. If nothing else, Satori has a high enough opinion of her intelligence to believe a more perfect solution is within her grasp.

There nevertheless remains an unsettlingly high chance of her causing an incident of some kind in order to keep (You) by her side. It stands to reason however that Satori would try to strike a bargain first, using whatever material wealth is at her disposal as well as her mental skills (and powerful servants) to purchase an exception to the usual rules of Gensokyo. No doubt she'd promise to keep (You) within Former Hell, or even within the mansion itself in perpetuity, so as not to invite copycats knocking on Reimu or Yukari's doors seeking the same leniency.
