So I was trying to log in, and I got a 403 error, does anyone know what's going on? Have they blocked burgers because of that stupid brigading bullshit that happened or is this like a maintenance thing, not many people are talking about this on the western internet so information is scarce here.

Every japanese blog site is trying to be the next twitter but they always go back to twitter.
>>
Let this thread die, it's not coming back any time soon.

A lot of JP have up and left Twitter without a replacement, really, which is why nothing new does take flight. We're past peak social media altogether, arguably a good thing.
>>
>>50362206
if we are past peak social media like you say, what are people that are buried on their devices for hours every day going to do? they need somewhere to scroll
>>
I don't understand why they keep making art websites modeled after Twitter. Microblogging are fucking garbage functionality-wise, especially for art.
Pixiv, if you exclude the AI shit, is already what any art website should strive to be.
>>
>>50362539
Microblogging sites*
>>
>>50362522
If I had the answer to that I'd be taking VC money. The grim answer would be talking to chatbots, the reality at the moment is people retreating from the public web to closed Discords.
>>
>>50362539
Pixiv and other gallery sites are also trash functionality wise. Sites should be more like boorus.
>>
>>50363778
pixiv feels like a booru with less tags sometimes
>>
>>50363189
live interaction with other people is always the best, but I fear a day coming soon when we won't be able to tell that the AI bot we are talking to is an AI bot, the only safe way would be face to face in person, but I guess even that will eventually have robots that we won't be able to tell aren't human even face to face at the neighborhood carfe
>>
>>50366860
I can't wait until we are cyborgs and can just have an AI talk for us to other AIs on cyborgs we meet outside.
>>
>>50325769
don't bother; nobody is going to be using this shit within 6 months. japan would rather slice their heads off than get off of twitter.
>>
>>50366860
Properly implemented zero knowledge proof ID is probably the best promise, but I don't really hold my breath that any government body will do it in a privacy respecting way. The other thing is I don't actually see social media collapsing under the weight of AI because audiences actually don't seem to care that much right now and moderation can be done by AI too. For the short term, I fear we're stuck with zombified social media, and that's especially bad if even more independent and small sites go under before someone figures out an acceptable way to kick bots out (and that's if audiences decide they might actually want this).

Japan is very lucky to have kept live and doujinshi event culture alive, but given that even those are contracting, I'm not sure it's a solution people are actually looking for as community.

>>50367341
That's basically what email is like at my job now. Especially this year, it's obvious that middle managers and up are sending me lightly massaged generated outputs, which most people have an LLM summarize because there's enormous pressure to justify contracts by forcing us to use LLMs for everything. Just bots pinging other bots to dream up new output.

>>50363778
I miss the booru project so much man
>>
>>50367357
Japan already has Misskey anyway which is literally identical to this and actually functional

is this site still in Beta?
