The premise without spoilers is that one day a group of girls wakes up imprisoned in an old mansion on a remote island. They are told that they are going to live the rest of their lives here because they were deemed too dangerous for society due to the witch factor they possess which means that they can turn into blood thirsty witch abominations and start killing others. Every girl has a unique magical ability. If one of the girls kills someone they mush hold a trial to find and execute the culprit and if they fail they will be executed instead. It's one of those games where the less you know about it the more you enjoy it. Also, it has a lot of suffering and might even make you cry.

Also keep in mind that those scattered Witch Genes made up her vitality, therefore getting rid of them essentially meant killing herself. I wouldn't read too much into it though, it's kinda there for the plot's sake.
