[GAMEPLAY BLOGPOST]After spending so much time with SFW and attempting that final Yuuma 1cc, let me tell you why she's the worst character in the game and the only genuinely annoying part of this whole experience:A lot of spell cards demand you to jump an attack the enemy with an aerial up attack without moving left or right since that can result in taking damage. Yuuma's up air attack and 2nd jump force you to move. A lot of characters have methods of going fast and this is huge in terms of dodging, even the slower ones like Murasa, Kanako and Jo'on have specific moves that allow them to go fast. Yuuma does not and her fastest move requires her special gauge to be full (it won't most of the time with all the jumps you'll have to do) and it will leave you wide open once it's done. Every other character has specific moves that deal a lot of damage. Yuuma does not and her strongest move is really really slow to pull off and barely does damage, making it impossible to one cycle enemies. A lot of spell cards in this game are useless and the water mechanic feels half baked at points but Yuuma's water gathering method is absurdly slow since it forces you to stay still and wait until the water slowly reaches her little goat mouth. The game even does this thing where your gauge remains at 100% after using the spell card implying that it had some sort of effect on Yuuma but nope.Despite literally standing in blood every time you fight her in other stories and the whole point to her being that she drinks and attacks blood, she STILL takes damage when you stand in it for too long which makes one of Okina's spell cards all the more troublesome.Because of all of the above, Yuuma's story is the longest in the entire game and it includes a lot of the bosses that already dragged like Yuugi, Okuu (made particularly annoying because of the low damage and moving left or right when jumping) and Okina. The speedrun for every other story lasts around 5-7 minutes but hers lasts a whopping 14. One of Flandre's spell cards is pretty much luck based and failing it means doing 7 stages all over again. A lot of Okina's attacks are ludicrously long and can hurt you if you make the slightest mistake and failing it means doing 8 stages all over again.TL;DR Yuuma sucks and trying to get a hard 1cc with her is both boring and unfair. I wish she remained Switch exclusive like how Reisen's ULiL story is ps4 exclusive

Let me quickly illustrate what i mean with the first major roadblock. The blue lines represent Yuuma's trajectory when jumping and the red ones are her downwards trajectory, the upwards-then-downwards combo being her strongest one. If your water meter is at 0%, touching those fire balls (which will happen if you look at the blue lines) means instant damage. If you have a bit more water then you can survive the ball but only if you act fast and it will drain your water meter. Getting water in this fight is very tricky and your best opportunity at getting it is during one previous attack that may or may not hit you. Absorb too much water though and the meter will reach 100% and go back to 0.The process of getting water during her first spell card is quite likely to make you fall deeper down the stage, causing the platforms to change and leave you with unfortunate situations like pic related, where doing the downwards attack will only send you lower or even make you hit the firewall. And by the way, even with ideal platforms, doing those up and down attacks will make you go too far to the left or right if you mess up your timing.Literally NONE of this is an issue with the other characters that fight Okuu because all of their jumps and up air attacks won't make you move all over the place and they're all strong enough to deal with Okuu before she puts her balls all over the place during this and the other spell cards.
