Consult another dictionary (Jisho, JPDB) and manually add or correct the definitions. In general, verbs do not properly express transitivity which will bite you in the ass once you move to slightly more advanced grammar forms. Like /kaeru/ 変える /kawaru/ 変わる. The latter is more like "to be changed", but my flashcard just said "to change". Another thing I would recommend is learning a little bit about radicals to better remember similar looking kanji.

Has anyone else sat down to watch the 3-episode miniseries 'Hiroshige Blue' on NHK? I found it to be a great watch and a wonderfully put together jidaigeki.
