Is the zutomayo anon who was going to the acoustic tour still around? Did you enjoy the show?
I think they are all dead.

>>50414299Everyone is dead.
https://youtu.be/V67BkGJNf8khttps://youtu.be/sLC5cNdkQSoI love his music
Does Amita Hachidori count as 'regular music'? I'm not sure I have ever seen him discussed on /jp/ before. His schtick is dressing up as a burlesque fetishist and performing jazz standards and covers with his tenor range. He seems to have been getting some really good coverange on his recent livestreamed concert performances with over 10k views on each. (Also believe it or not, despite his stage costume, he is 100% straight)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BY-bf2O9sEs
>>50421889Looks gay.
>>50425188Half his songs are about getting pussy and his longing for pussy that has left him, surprisingly enough. He is just very flamboyant with his stage persona.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyLdBUCVheM
>>50414299I'm the one who is going on Dec 22 from the thread months ago, will let you know.Bought a ticket for the Dec 23 show also on ticketjam after failing the lottery for it, but turns out Kaneko Ayano is having a show the same night too so going to that instead. Now just need to beg the scalper for a refund.
And just for that anon that hated almost every song I posted last time, here, feel free to judge my 2025 vinyl haul, (sourced from a combination of mercari and other shops, or in the case of Kitri buying at their live performance at Inokashira Park in October). Also got the three Zutomayo vinyl represses coming eventually, (they're chilling at my friend's house in Japan for now as shipping there was easier).>>50414299>>50427455Oh, and also got tickets for the April 25 show in Osaka next year with last night's lottery results (not the premium seats I had as the first choice though sadly). Seems it'll be a more basic stage without the usual massive props and theatrics however, shou ga nai~Sorry for not getting back sooner also, didn't see any replacement thread immediately after the one a while back (and don't usually browse /jp/) so assumed it was a one-off.
>>50428069And half of the CDs. Lot of SCLL, lot of Soutaiseiriron/Yakushimaru Etsuko, and some Kinoko Teikoku/Hitsujibungaku/Kirinji/Ichiko Aoba/Predawn/Zutomayo thrown in.
>>50428077And the other half. Some Choro Club ft. fat piano man, lot of Zabadak and Karasu wa Masshiro, and some Aqua Yui and Kitri signed CDs from their raibu, (lot more Kitri and Zutomayo to collect from Japan friends also, couldn't bring all the stuff purchased there back with only carry-on luggage).
>>50427455Not a one off thread, but its irregular and falls off from time to time.I didn't realize that you haven't gone yet, so I'll let you enjoy it first. I only went to the one show, but when I went to receive my ticket at will call, it was the front row dead center seat. All the seats were in the same category, so imagine my surprise. I had a great time. Intense II is too soon for me to return to Japan, so I'll probably just hope for more shows in the fall again. I still would like to see the large scale arena performance live. The Zutomayo vinyls were nice, but I never use my record player, so I've basically stopped buying. I've basically given up on physical media with how convenient digital is.
>>50428617>it was the front row dead center seat.Naisu, was your ticket actually individualised for will-call, or do they just have a pile of will-call tickets for the gaijin and you get a random one on the day? Ungodly luck either way, closest I've gotten was the show in May in Tokyo which was still like 20 rows back.Thankfully the smaller artists I saw in October were a lot easier to get good seats for, was balcony second level right next to the stage for Aoba Ichiko in Sapporo in the relatively small Kitara hall. And for Kirinji at Zepp Odaiba and Kitri/Predawn/Katahira Rina at Inokashira Park it was just first-come-best-seat so was able to get right up in the action, (interestingly Kirinji shows are apparently recording/photos-ok generally also as long as you don't be a tard and hold your phone above your body as Horigome requested. Only one I've been to so far that allowed it).>how convenient digital isWell yeah, generally my stuff (if new) stays relatively mint. Just nice to have and hoard, like a reality TV show subject drowning in filth in their home.
>>50428617>>50428674Oh, though for the Aria 20th anniversary show at the absolutely gargantuan Pacifico hall in Yokohama two months ago, I did get a front-row seat after shilling 50,000 yen to a scalper on ticketjam, but got cucked by the cameramen and stage equipment, and left with a neck ache after turning it to the left for two hours.
>>50428674It was individualized for will call, has my full name right on the ticket. Talk about crazy luck.
>>50421889
>>50428726You made a whole flowchart just to say whatever Japanese music already doesn't have dedicated generals. Awesome.
>>50428747Thank you.
Katahira Rina - Rokku Bando ga Yatte Kita (wish I could've recorded her performing this one live at Inokashira, sounded great as a solo too)https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xt8RAjnDRCEAlso after seeing Hitsujibungaku at the Budoukan in October I do now understand the love for the venue, definitely has a special feel, giant Hinomaru is always nice too.>>50428721I've seen her throw ping-pong balls or some shit from the stage to the first few rows at other shows (guessing autographed goods), did she do it there too? Probably the only way to get anything signed by her these days now that she's gotten dekkai yuumei and shit.Speaking of which though it is crazy how quickly they seem to have blown up, just felt like watching a lil' indie band on youtube from 2018 - 2021 (which they more or less were), and now I go to Lawson and see their characters shilling packets of fucking gummies. At least her music is still amazing even with the unabashed selling-out.
>>50428771I've also been following them since they started activities, so I'm happy for them. Maybe one day they can tour outside of Asia. I think Aca is true to herself as an artist, at the very least, so I'm not too worried about them selling out. She threw a crumbled piece of paper which was relevant to the show and it landed in the second row a few seats away. It was just one piece.
Kitri - Saibou no Dancehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XiaivRJJ1N0>>50428780Interesting, looking forward to it, should be different from the other three shows I've seen at least. Pre-ordered my one-paddle glow-in-the-dark shamoji months ago also, that silent shamoji'ing will be novel too I reckon.>I think Aca is true to herself as an artistAlways hard to tell what's real with the aidoru (which she basically is now), but her music hasn't changed its feel too much so can't complain. But man I hope it's not just some long-nose-tribe manager behind it all, and she's at least getting a good cut from the fuggin' Asics shoes, Yamaha boom-boxes, cup ramen, gummies, and all the other collabs they're slapping their art and logo onto.
Wednesday Campanell - Jeanne d'Archttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=syLz1rcTKD8Wish I could've seen them live when KOM_I was still the vocalist, my third biggest regret after not being able to see Zabadak or Kinoko Teikoku live. Will see them on the 26th in Nagoya though. Hopefully Utaha decides to sing a KOM_I song or two also since they are unfortunately just better than any of hers.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IW6gYb6g8sAJAGATARA - 裸の王様 1987/8/9 RemasterI downloaded the album that track is from too, what amazing sounds.

Are there any other jrock bands similar to mr.fantastic? Really enjoy their sound and heard they disbanded recently. Love the guys shouty singing and the melodies.
>>50427455Are you going to the concert from the Kaneko Ayano's acoustic solo tour? I'd appreciate it if you post about your impressions afterwards. I went to one of them, somewhat worried that it'd be lackluster without the band but in the end I was very impressed by her performance. >>50428780Well was a good show as always, was expecting Acaね to just be rocking an acoustic guitar solo or something with the whole アコライブ thing, but nope 扇風琴 and tape reel and friends still right there toplel. Probably prefer the usual more energetic full-standing shows though to be hontou kazoku. Not front block but closest I've gotten to the stage so far too, also the guy who taught her how to make dorodango was in the audience this night only and she called him up to do the song gacha with him by dropping one dorodango each to see which split first, very cute. Spotlight shone on her for a bit at that point also while she tried to cover her face but was visible for a bit surprisingly.Oh and the kani-style shamoji dance needs to become permanent it's fuggin' hilarious.>>50462291Not sure will find out tomorrow, first show of hers I'm going to.

>>50462291Well just got to my seat and the answer appears to be yes, solo acoustic.
>>50481755>>50462291And it was great, she abused the hell out of her acoustuc guitar so much that a string snapped halfway through Hikari no Hou he, and so got to hear it twice, naisu. Audience went wild when it happened. Also some bishoujo asked to swap tickets so she could sit with her friend, so got to view it slightly closer from the first floor in the end.Got me an LP, 10-inch, and Towelket CD too (which I wish she'd performed though).Only disappointment was it seems she's weird like Kirinji in that she doesn't do encores.
I don't remember seeing an acoustic guitar show where no strings broke. Except classical guitar, of course.
>>50482601Glad you enjoyed it anon. I like her venue choices, it really adds to the atmosphere. And I agree, no MC was alright by me but no encore was kind of a bummer, just an abrupt end after an hour. I feel like she could've sung some of her other songs.
Satou - Saibouhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f_VekM6tlqg>>50482613Well only other purely acoustic one I've seen was Ichiko Aoba but she plays gentle as hell of course, and Katahira Rona/Predawn at the Mitaka no Mori festival but they only played a couple of songs each there. I guess when they have other instruments backing them up they play gentler then is the theory?
>>50482691Half the audience did the encore clap for a minute but enough people started leaving that it became clear to all she's a no-encore 変人。Think it was a solid hour and a half tonight though, but she choked on a 深呼吸 during aiming for the sun also, plus the string snap, so those probably added 10 mins or so.
>>50477853If you watched the MTV Unplugged set or other acoustic sets, the open reel didn't come as a surprise. It was also mentioned on the original promotion materials months back. I would prefer the full band as well, but I won't forget the experience I had in the front row. I didn't realize the cover changed so often. >dorodango splitThey did this at all the shows I think but yours was probably unique given the circumstances. It also had the food, which didn't look very good.
>>50482950>MTV unpluggedHaven't seen it in full, not sure where nips pirate that stuff.>FoodDon't think that was there last night, what was that about? Also damn could've heard her do Plastic Love? Shieeeet.
>>50484591Who are these デブ and gross lip-ringer and photographer lady?
Shinya Tension - Lucky Old Sunhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wCyMv_MM7Dc>>50428780Also she did throw a piece of paper at the end of this one too while walking off stage, but not sure what the relevance was except maybe a continuation of the dorodango theme.
>>50483034They had some food, it was probably around the corner from the garden theater itself in the outside astroturf area, not inside the venue.
>>50485084Consider suicide.
>>50487936Ah, went straight to the will call line and then straight in so missed that, dang(o). Not that I'd pay those extortionate prices for probably average-tasting sloppa though anyway. But what was the paper tossing at the end about then?
>>50488012Maybe if they consider a diet. The fatties' faces do seem somewhat familiar though. Sill it's so hard to become fat in Japan they must've ganbare'd hard as kids.

>>50498153So she does it every time generally? Or just if she happens to perform Momotaro?Though I'm surprised they'd allow her to do it in London, liable to get stabbed through the bubble which I assume is why it wasn't allowed elsewhere also.
>>50500525Also Sakanaction was as expected the best show at the FM802 festival today (being the closer and all), glad they brought out the cheerleaders for Shin-Takarajima.
>>50500525It's only for Momotaro, yes. And I assume it was a venue issue. The whole concert was rather badly organised, she was 1.5 hours late and instead they had some DJ playing the worst music possible, it wasn't even Japanese. She's cute though and there was some good fanservice, I forgive her.
