When you read a visual novel, do you just install and start reading it, picking choices as your heart guides you, or do you check online for branches and follow a guide?

No guide if straightforward. If getting into a route requires tricky flags and could waste times, then guide. If I don't feel like and want to exhaust all routes all by myself: guide.

>>50413466If it's a harem game then I just look at a guide. My main goal is to read all of the scenes, and I don't want to backtrack. If it's a mystery or thriller then I go in blind for obvious reasons.
