One of the best grimsokyo artists has recently become active again.
>>50489845honestly tired that koishi and flandre are always the main mascots of touhou horror art when other characters could be better
>>50489876I thought Rumia had that honor.
>>50489845Another grimfag threa->horrorsokyoOh, atleast that's more honest.
>>50489845Holy shit that artist is back! Really love how he draws 2hus, especially Koishi. I dunno why, but I just think she's really beautiful in this 'creepy' style. I might have been influenced by his 'Love Me A Lot' series.
I read Zounose’s Kaminare Touhou Doujin the other week and honestly I wasn’t that horrified. Basically my main problem with it was that cannibalism is horrific because you’re eating a person, but our main cannibal victim has hardly any personality. Sansuke’s only “line” is just him sobbing at his fate soon to come. We never see his eyes, which are one of the most expressive parts of the face in manga. The only hint we get of his personality is of the human village officials TELLing us that his mother died and he went to school and it comes across as generic tear jerker stuff. Sansuke is hardly a character, which makes it harder to sympathize with him. The story could’ve more interesting if it asked how Sansuke feels about and responds to being a human sacrifice. For example, does he accept his fate to spare others from it, or does he fight? Does he cooperate with his captors, or do they have to break his legs to prevent him from escaping? Does he feel rage at the “nice” village officials like Akyuu and Keine politely discussing his own death? It seems the officials select the sacrifice on the basis of lacking living parents. Does Sansuke accept his death in the hopes of being reunited with his parents in the afterlife, or resist in rage at the society who kills him for being an outcast? Additionally Sanae’s betrayal of her initial goal didn’t feel justified to me. Her conversation with Keine felt like this to me:>Sanae: human sacrifice and ritual cannibalism are horrific>Keine: but it’s totally necessary and traditional>Sanae: OK I believe youKeine didn’t even really explain why it was necessary. I guess the flashback was supposed to explain why it was justified but it totally fell flat with me. The conversation with Reimu and Sanae feel almost like nothing, so it feels like Keine vaguely telling Sanae that human sacrifice is ok is apparently all she needs to not only give up on her goal of preventing Sansuke’s death but actually do a complete 180 and participate in it. Are we supposed to interpret her as just looking for a flimsy excuse so she can justify it to herself?
>>50492652Try reading Last Supper
>>50489845My beautiful creepy wife!
>>50490021Yukari, Rumia, Koishi and Flan feel like the four 2hus used in more works.>>50492652> but our main cannibal victim has hardly any personality. On one hand that can be seen as an act of dehumanization or of how systematic this ritual is.>Additionally idk sometimes people irl just really go with what is commonly accepted( or what they believe to be commonly accepted) so I could see that happening (But I've read that quite a while ago so maybe it was more bs than I remember)But yeah in fiction you might as well make it more dramatic.Fair reaction though, I would rather have different horror and dark 2hu doujins but I fear I can't really recommend any dark or horror doujin.
