The old thread died because I forgot to push it last night.>>50402956Comic Market 107 December 30-31, 2025Tokyo Big Sight50th AnniversaryInformation:https://www.comiket.co.jp/info-a/TAFO/C107TAFO/index.html11 am tickets:https://ib.eplus.jp/comiket107/The 11 am tickets are now on sale.
Don't forget the red saw.
>>50494306Who's actually going? Does /jp/ do any meetups?
>>50494405The meetup is at 16:00 at the red saw. You can find it on Google Maps if you search for "Saw, Sawing". Most guys only go to the meetup on the last day of comiket but there are usually some doing it on the earlier days too.
>>50494519Nice, I guess post covid Comiket has shrank in popularity. I'm just surprised neither /a/ or /cgl/ care. But I guess all things come to an end.
>>50494542Even before covid, Comiket meetups usually were discussed here and in the Japan general on /trv/.
Just got the catalog, what circles are you going to?
>>50494579Where do they sell it?
>>50494652MybadMellon books also animate too I think.
Previous thread said ABe would be there, but I can't find any mention of it or his booth
i cant believe comiket is reclining
>>50495084I blame the weebs!
>>50495084Gone to Japan too late to see comiket in its glory. Gone too early to remember it as a child.
>>50495127Sooner or later the gatcha craze will be over and Comiket will be great again.
>>50495200>Competing with coomers and basically a free money printer.By that time Japan will basically die out and basically be China in everything but name only.
>>50495254I saw even older men (probably 50+) who played gatcha on their phones while riding a train in Tokyo.
>>50494519will you guys be doing red saw in the summer as well? :)
>>50495293Yes, our "le reddit" meetup is taking place every comiket.
I'm going to bed now. It would be nice if some other anons who are not (yet) in Japan could keep this thread alive.
>>50496207The samurai stands his watch.
so i heard east 1-3 halls have been closed since summer. Has this made the rest of the halls more crowded?
>>50496266Thanks, samurai-sama.
Any first timers coming to the meetup?Trying to gauge how many people we'll have this year.
>>50497847I can guess why. But I think 5 liters of lube will suffice as usual.
Okay guys, will anyone go to the touhou bar U.N.逢縁 tonight? I have time but I would need to leave at 21:00 to be able to reach Club Mogra on time.
>>50498177I am down, I need to run by western union thothecirno is my discord
>>50498417whoops autocorrecttehcirno
>>50498417>>50498422Sorry, temporarily forgot this thread. Sent you a friend request.

I have afternoon tickets for the 30th but have decided last minute to go on the 31st as well. What would be the best way to get tickets? I'll be in Shinjuku tomorrow so should I go to a melon books/animate? Or should I try to get tickets for the 31st on the 30th at the actual convention itself? Sorry for being stupid its my first time going.
Was anyone down by the 2hu bar? I was there earlier but couldn’t find any anons.
>>50499411I would just get them from Mellonbooks imo.>>50497847This isn't first time to Japan (expat) nor is it my first time to Big Sight (anime Japan, Reitaisai). But it is my first time to Comiket.
>>50500271is the middle item a paper file, it looks amazing. Thanks, I'll go melon books tomorrow. Can someone also explain what exactly the the comiket catalog is? is it just a book that contains info on the artists and what they are selling?
>>50500735if you're serious on buying stuff the web catalog has more utility because you can mark circles and generate a printable file.Physical catalog is great for an overview and as a collectible imo.
>>50500735>>50500826Thanks, you guys are awesome.
Is there any rare artists attending C107?C105 had Tawawa artist and Saitom attending at the time.
>>50501191We love you too, anon.
>>50499640Yes, two of us were there roughly from 19:00 until 20:00. The character cocktails are pretty good.
>>50503188That explains a lot… I came around 19:50. Think I missed you guys. I ended up chilling with some Japanese dudes on a table over a board game. Had fun even though I didn’t understand what they were saying.
>>50503300That's very unfortunate. We probably missed each other by 5 minutes. Are you one of the guys who went to Mogra afterwards?
>>50503523Nah, I went straight back to my hotel afterwards.
>>50501802Second this question. Also I know comiket is about new art/manga anime but are there any circles that sell old-school pre digital anime cels? Its recently become my newest obsession and Im decorating my game room with nostalgia anime cels like GTO, Wordsworth & outlawstar.Next question how out of place will I be as a rather large gym rat American cosplaying Leon? The foids at /cgl/ have me convinced im committing a war crime by even looking at Comiket becuase apparently its considered the elite 4/final boss of cosplaying and cons. Also the weather is apparently is gonna be nice, winter Japan w/o snow can be kinda depressing.
>>50503781Disregard /cgl/ they are the peak of crab bucket. You can wear literally anything as a buff whitey and get a decent amount of attention for the novelty. Theres a lot of "low quality" cosplays there just for fun or the meme potential behind it.Yes you're going to stick out. Make the most of it, that's the fun part.>old-school pre digital anime celsSurely theres dedicated stores you can find for that, I dunno if that's something you'd find at comiket
>>50503988There are plenty of good stores, like Nakano Broadway but I figure they have a selection out from the norm at the marketPicrel
>>50503781>Next question how out of place will I be as a rather large gym rat American cosplaying Leon? You could also wear a gachimuchi outfit.
>>50495071doubt he'll be there this year if he hasn't posted anything by now. i met him last year and he was there with his wife, sharing a tiny table with another artist. murata will be there at least.
>>50504106>PicrelAre those originals?
>>50504870if you buy repros you are actually fucking retarded. there is a shop in harajuku with western assholes selling mid-tier cels and genga from popular titles for hundreds of dollars and some are reproductions. actual scum.
>>50504870exactly. they're not. >I want a real thing not that digital shit>buys a print of an original cel
>>50504895they're probably all prints.
I'm confused regarding early tickets. So after getting the paper ticket from Family Mart, do you then exchange this ticket on the day at Comiket for wristbands?I've just seen some users saying how they should exchange the paper ticket with wristbands, a day before Comiket.Super fucking confusing.
>>50504895They are originals. Nakano Broadway, anyway it doesnt have to be cels, any OG artwork is good in my book at Comiket
>>50506618>They are originals. What is the best way to determine that if I have them right in front of me?
>>50506913Unfortunately not alot, if they come with the original writings/notes on the side thats a good indicator. Particularly with the undersketches and backgrounds etc. They have actual notches at the top of the cell for holding them on the desk/scanner.Old cels were made out of cellophane which is a plastic like byproduct of the paper industry. They have a vinagar like smell sometimes, though if this is intense it means the cells has degraded and is basically fucked since it cannot be restored.Repros tend to be made out of vinyl, ayrlic or some other petroleum based plastic. They also can lack notches or basically a another production marks, etc. Finally if its a fake the scene can obviously be completely made up.This isnt a surefire list, anyone can forge all of these thing but what matters is the effort they will spend into a forgery and the cost of the cel.
>>50506188yes you exchange the paper ticket for a wristband at comiket before you line up
Where are you weeb touhou degens? im in Akihrabra.
A book with one illustration drawn by me will be released tomorrow. I'll be stalking for loot posts to see if anyone bought it
>>50507630I hope it's futa stuff.
>>50506188>after getting the paper ticket from Family MartI've been curious does anyone know if you can buy comiket tickets anywhere in Japan or does it have to be in the Tokyo area? I'll be in Kyoto around when summer tickets go on sale so I was wondering if I should just shinkansen it back to Tokyo to get a ticket or if I can just fuck around in Kansai still.
>>50507591were you the guy dressed as cirno?
>>50507734>guyDid you just assume their gender?
Just got done hitting the ATMs up for 1k notes. If 43,000 yen isn't enough for one day at Comiket I will be very disappointed in myself.>>50495200I'm at the point now where I'm hoping BA will get so big for so long that they'll politely a gacha spinoff event like they did with Touhou. The issue is that gacha is so transient, one game might dominate for a few events or even a few years but right before the point where a new event is necessary the game changes and it feels like it's unfairly discriminatory.
I blame the circles charging 2~5K for a set/bundles, with absolutely unnecessary addons like akusta, postcards, tapestry etc.
>>50507695Early Entry is online for everyone, you get a barcode that you take down to FamilyMart to get the green ticket. Then you take the green ticket to the exchange point on the day. Even if you are at the end of the EE line you're still ahead of even the earliest arriving AM wristband holders. There's a wristband ticket (for locals) and an online ticket (for foreigners). Downside to the online one is that they force you to line up to exchange, and that line only opens at 8am which means you're inherently behind people who already had wristbands and turned up between 6-8am. (Which is a lot of fucking people, by the way.)The last few Comikets have had the AM wristbands sell out really early - Animate online had no stock after like 2 days. I got mine from Toranoana. The issue with ordering the wristband through a proxy is that most proxies will refuse to deal with tickets of any kind. I know for a fact Zenmarket and Tenso will refuse. I set up an account with a mail forwarder that lets me pick it up locally, it works for me pretty well. Tora also has the option to send it out once per month, which, depending on when you're flying in, can work if you send it to your hotel.PM wristbands generally are still available but still sell out closer to the date. You can get them on the day but the lines can be crazy.
>>50507734Negative im a newfag. Where's everyone at? Surely some must be in Akihrabra?
Well I forgot they do tickets now and didn't get any, I suppose I'm out of luck right?>>50497847I suppose I will go regardless of being able to attend Comiket.
>>50508133Most of us are already in bed because we have to get up at 5 am.
>>50508173Don't they also sell the PM tickets on site?
Got early ticket for first day and am wristband for 2nd day.Do we take the first train that arrives around 6am at Ariake? Or is that too early?
>>50508193>Do we take the first train>he's not already there camping in the bushesNGMI
I bought 11am tickets from the site, at what time shuld I show up to get the wristband??
>>50508201>he didn't get a comfy hotel room 200m from the beginning of the lineNGMI
>>50508184Ah they do indeed, I will attempt to go that route. Thank you.
All of this information is on the fucking international website. Read the fucking manual, you room temp iq silverplatterfags.
>>50494519I will try and make it for Dec 31st. Im going to come in my suit as I think it will be a laugh + I'll stick out like a sore thumb. It's my first comiket as well. Il also ask where any of you guys at Mogra for DJ wildfire? I think I may have talked to 1 or 2 of you.
Tfw got sick before being able to go. Fuck this gay earth

>>50508487>where any of you guys at Mogra for DJ wildfire?I guess you mean DJ Wildparty on the 27th? Then yes, 6 of us were there. IIrc, 3 Americans, 1 Australian, 1 Dutchman, and 1 German.>>50509717Unfiltered autism!

>>50510118There usually is a very entertaining livestream of the waiting line.

I'm waiting for your day 1 loot pics
First day of first fuyucomi done! Actually survived to the end of the event this time, at last year's natsucomi i tapped out at like 2:30 each day. Gonna eat some choco cake in the bath to recharge and then head out in search of more 1000 yenny notes
Fuck man, I couldn't get the early cosplay lotto, couldn't get an AM ticket, and I don't know if I can get a PM entry ticket either. This shit fucking sucks and I wouldn't be going to comiket this year if I could control it.Well, if you guys see a Chimata tomorrow, it's probably me.
