How difficult is it to torrent anime, manga, JAV, and doujinshi in japan?Where I live no one really cares about piracy unlike in japan so I'm wondering how's the situation over there.
>>50505615the same difficulty as it is everywhere, its the fucking same internet use a vpn you retard
>>50505774I never had to use a VPN here
>>50505615I have never not seen a Japanese flag on the peers section of any anime I've pirated, even if you think it's gaiin living there it still means there's loads doing it
>>50505615>>50505774internet :|internet, japan :O
>>50505615In Japan piracy is significantly more looked down upon because Japanese otaku are domesticated by companies.
>>50505927>Japanese otaku are domesticated by companiesI was hoping that Japanese were committed to moral values hence aversion to piracy, but unfortunately it seems this is more likely.
>>50508625>moral values hence aversion to piracyyou are a gay man. try sucking a big futa cock with your morals. we are legion. anime piracy never left the golden age and yet you are here morally sucking futa cock.
>>50509742You're the gay one here to somehow link morality to sucking cocks.
>>50505807you should, it is common sense, when you torrent you are sharing your ip
>>50505927Yet another difference between Western otaku and Japanese otaku. I find those differences interesting.
>>50505865I see a lot a lot japanese IPs when I download jav.
>>50505615My friend was a JET and he said it's so illegal there he had to actually get a Netflix subscription and just take whatever they offered
>>50510570He sounds like a no-balls pussy tbdesu
>>50505615its not any harder, but its probably more looked down upon in japan.the reason why stupid gaijins usually pirate is because, especially back then, japanese content was/is not readily available or even officially licensed outside japan. where in japan it would be fairly easy to just pick up a DVD of something like KO beast or another old series, in america that would be straight up impossible to find in a store. when you eventually check the ebay listings, they can be upwards of 100 smackaroos for the more desirable stuff.westerners pirate by necessity. in japan, if you pirate, its seen as nothing more than just greed.
I remember hearing about their version of limewire back in the day it was called "perfect dark" or something Bet there was some crazy stuff on there
>>50510570He sounds too retarded to use a VPN tbdesu
>>50510510They are all koreans
>>50505865This, they often eat up releases explicitly containing english subs and translations too
>>50510570There's a difference between being a citizen of Japan and being a JET though. The latter has to be on his best behavior at all times or else he'll get deported. Bittorrent and other filesharing protocols like Perfect Dark, Winny, and Share are somewhat popular but unsurprisingly most people just use illegal streaming websites.
the stigma there is probably the biggest hurdle, more than any practical barriers. I showed my otaku acquaintance a thread here, and he was flabbergasted when someone posted a download link to a pirated doujin game like it wasn't a big deal. he wishes that japanese internet was a lot more like ours, funnily enough
>>50505615I heard it is way more tacked upon, so I worried and dutifully got VPN sub when moving here. However, I had several slips, and since then I've lighten up quite a bit, and I have yet to receive any notification of any type. That being said, I think it depends a whole lot on the type of content you download, I for one rarely download any "of the season" content, I barely even watch any anime desu. If there are game they're usually not as popular here, and of course the occasional doujin. And when I can I prefer using private trackers. Torrent tracking is not as simple as you might, it actually requires a relative effort from the interested companies, and ISPs in general I guess just don't care enough.
