I'm starting to think anything Nasu wrote that was actually good, its quality was a complete accident, and he's not actually a skilled writer.

Well for starters, the while extraverse exists. It's the progenitor to everything wrong with TM and the start of FGO. Theres also Kagetsu Tohya, which is just devoid of anything worthwhile and continues the boring Arc dick sucking session whilst spitting on everyone else. Tsukihime OG whilst influential, isn't some perfect bastion of writing. It loses so much steam and barely sustains itself for one route. The original is very lacking without the Arc dick sucking and nostalgia.

I'm playing Mahoyo on my Steam Deck, apparently there was an issue with videos, so I tried the fix that's out there, but I saw no video, and I've finished the intro chapter, the point where they were talking about delivery. Does that mean the fix didn't work and I missed it, or has it not shown up yet? I didn't see the alleged Type-Moon logo that's supposed to show up either, so I'm afraid it's the former.

Man, I went through all the trouble to fix the video, only for there to be a whole other error when it comes to special effects or whatever. Like if there are too many, a message pops up, and if it's too bad, then it'll just crash if you try to skip past it. So you've gotta download it on your PC anyway. It's still a little hypocritical to criticize escapism with an escapist story, but it would've only been an issue of artistic competence if they made their point once and moved on to something more productive. If they took a perspective like Tolkien's distinction between escape and desertion, one being aspirational and the other being irresponsible, they may produce more salient arguments.
