I once saw a video of a sound-absorbing "roof" (+3 walls) put over a IIDX controller to muffle it; could make that if you're autistic enough. Can't find the video atm.
For the stand you'll probably want something soft on something heavy and non-hollow.
There's also the option of sticking some fabric tape under each button so it doesn't hit the base directly. Then fill the controller with foam.

IIDX AC song unlocks are up. There's a few black charts that are SP only and a DP only of Implantation, that's a new concept. After spending my load, I need to round up another 292K to get the rest done. That just might be possible, at least if this one stays live long enough.

Anyway, I've thought about how a new music game could possibly come about, particularly since Beat Saber seems to be the most recent one that did something new and had some success in it. I've imagined that there has to be some way to allow players to use hands in a three dimensional way to sort of sculpt or conjure music - think something like being a conductor where you "craft" sound with your hands, only that it would actually respond to your motions. Something like the game Magician's Dead but with music. I think that there has to be a way to give players a feeling that following the instructions is intuitive and challenging, while also allowing a way for players to feel like they have a way to exert creativity while in the course of play.
